James Ramsay MacDonald FRS was a British politician who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, the first who belonged to the Labour Party, leading minority Labour governments for nine months in 1924 and again between 1929 and 1931. From 1931 to 1935, he headed a National Government dominated by the Conservative Party and supported by only a few Labour members. MacDonald was expelled from the Labour Party as a result.
MacDonald was born at Gregory Place, Lossiemouth, Moray, Scotland, the illegitimate son of John MacDonald, a farm labourer, and Anne Ramsay, a housemaid. Registered at birth as James McDonald (sic) Ramsay, he was known as Jaimie McDonald.

The Scottish Government has been referred to the UK’s statistics watchdog over alleged inconsistencies in the reporting of Accident and Emergency (A&E) figures.
At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow alone, over 2000 people are being "hidden" from the A&E waiting times it appears.
The SNP are constantly lying to the people of Scotland, not just over health figures but on many other subjects as well.
The people of Scotland deserve a government that will be truthful and open with them, not one that treats them in this way.

Dryburgh Abbey, near Dryburgh on the banks of the River Tweed in the Scottish Borders, was founded by an agreement between Hugh de Morville, Constable of Scotland, and the Premonstratensian canons regular from Alnwick Abbey in Northumberland. The arrival of the canons along with their first abbot, Roger, took place on 13 December 1152.
It was burned by English troops in 1322, after which it was restored only to be again burned by Richard II in 1385, but it flourished in the fifteenth century. It was finally destroyed in 1544, briefly to survive until the Scottish Reformation, when it was given to the Earl of Mar by James VI of Scotland. It is now a designated scheduled monument and the surrounding landscape is included in the Inventory of Gardens and Designed Landscapes in Scotland.
Sir Walter Scott and Douglas Haig are buried in its grounds.

Aberdeen is going to spend over £6 million to refurbish 500 empty council homes that they will then give to Ukrainian refugees.
While it is easy to sympathise with the Ukrainians, who have had to flee a very difficult situation, over 5000 local people are on the Aberdeen council house waiting list, many of whom have been on it for years.
These houses should have been refurbished years ago for local people to be housed. But it appears, yet again, that incomers are more important than indigenous Scots to the politicians in Scotland.
The system in Scotland needs to fundamentally change to make sure that the country is run for the benefit of indigenous Scots. This will not happen with any of the mainstream parties in power. Scotland needs an alternative, a truly Patriotic Alternative.

A Linlithgow pub whose name is part of the heritage of the town has had its name changed to suit the woke agenda of the large brewery that owns it.
The pub is called The Black Bitch in reference to a local story about a black female greyhound that is said to have stolen food to give to its imprisoned owner. He spent more than a dozen years in North Africa and Ethiopia and in 1770 became the third European to trace the origins of the Blue Nile from Egypt and Sudan, after Pedro Paez and Jeronimo Lobo.
Bruce's travels and discoveries inspired the founders of the British African Association (1788) in their efforts to promote exploration to discover the course of the Niger and the city of Timbuktu.
In 1785, and at the urging of his friend Daines Barrington, he embarked on writing up his travels, which were published in five quarto volumes (totalling 3000 pages) as Travels to Discover the Source of the Nile, In the Years 1768, 1769, 1770, 1771, 1772 and 1773. it is considered that he made a real addition to the geographical knowledge of his day.

Yesterday, members of Patriotic Alternative Scotland met in Glasgow to hold a service and lay a wreath for Remembrance Sunday.
After a moving speech from our regional organiser and a minute silence to remember the fallen of all the conflicts our people have been involved in, attendees held a banner stating "No More Brother Wars."

NHS Scotland, a failing organisation with ever longer waiting lists and a shrinking budget, is proposing to "fast track" transgender surgery and treatment.
NHS Scotland intends to allow doctors, not specialists, to send patients for irreversible surgery without any investigation of patients' mental health. They also intend to carry on the treatment of children, even after many specialists have warned of the dangers of these policies.
It is a disaster in the making, not just for patients but for the wider NHS as more resources and time are allocated to transgender procedures.
It is time the NHS and politicians stopped pandering to these trans extremists. The public should not be funding these procedures.

He was finally captured at Keith fair and put on trial and sentenced to hang. One of the charges against him was of being an "Egyptian". At the time an "Egyptian" meant gypsy. At the time it was illegal to be a gypsy in Scotland.

It appears that the revolt within the SNP over Sturgeon's pet Gender Recognition Act has had an effect.
MSPs in the Equalities, Human Rights and Civil Justice Committee voted to make amendments to the bill. The amendments included making 16/17-year-olds live as the gender they seek to transition to for 6 months, rather than 3, before applying for a GR certificate, and creating an offence of making a fraudulent application.
These amendments of course go nowhere near far enough. The whole bill should be scrapped. 16/17-year-old children should not be allowed to transition at all and people seeking to transition should be referred to mental health services rather than helped to transition using public money.

As anyone who has tried to get a GP appointment in Scotland will know, GP surgeries are under immense strain and many GPs are starting to retire, so the situation can only get worse.
Under the SNP the NHS has been on a downward spiral for years and this has to stop. To have a successful nation we need a well funded, managed, staffed and equipped health service and that is not what we have today. The people of Scotland are being treated to a third-class health service.

The SNP have been warned for years that they are setting the wrong budget priorities and need to speed up the reform of the public sector to create sustainable quality services for the public.
Sturgeon has also been found to be lying about the SNP Government not receiving extra cash from Westminster.
The SNP/Green alliance cannot be trusted to manage Scotland's finances or provide secure good quality services to the public. The alliance needs to go and a more financially literate and reforming adminstration put in place.

At a Protestant ceremony in the Chapel Royal of Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh on 23 December 1600, he was baptised by David Lindsay, Bishop of Ross, and created Duke of Albany, the traditional title of the second son of the king of Scotland, with the subsidiary titles of Marquess of Ormond, Earl of Ross and Lord Ardmannoch.
Charles would later fall out with the English Parliament leading to the English Civil War and his execution in Whitehall, London on the 30th January 1649.

Aberdeen appears to have become a major centre for refugees. There are 1000 Ukrainians at ten centres across Aberdeen, 170 Afghans in hotels and at least 30 Syrian families in the city, amongst others.

The Scottish Government needs to put the indigenous population first before "migrants" and "refugees". We should not be housing all-comers from every corner of world while our own people are homeless.

The SNP/Green alliance has been promising a green revolution "jobs bonanza" for years now. They have claimed that their so-called "green revolution" will create 130,000 jobs for Scots.
This has never happened and, in fact, the number of jobs in renewable energy has been declining rather than increasing. The number of jobs fell from 24,000 in 2016 to 20,500 in 2020.
To add insult to injury, with yet more SNP promises broken, those actually working in the renewable industry are seeing their jobs replaced by cheap labour from abroad
There needs to be a change in the law to stop this practice but the SNP/Green alliance seem unconcerned by this and are putting no pressure for changes to the law. We need to make sure that every job in Scotland is available to indigenous Scots first and foremost. Last year an estimated 250 homeless people died in Scotland, this is a completely unacceptable situation.

On Monday 28 November MPs will debate an e-petition relating to ‘abortion rights’ in the House of Commons. The petition seeks to include a ‘right’ to abortion in the Bill of Rights Bill.
