On this day in 1940 the Scottish fighter ace Archie McKellar was killed in action.
McKellar grew up and joined the family business in his native Scotland, but in 1936, he joined the RAF and began pilot training. He completed his training in 1938 and was assigned to No. 602 (City of Glasgow) Squadron RAF, an Auxiliary Unit. He experienced his first combat with No. 602 Squadron, credited with two victories soon after the outbreak of war in 1939 McKellar's first victory earned him the distinction of being the first pilot to shoot down a German aircraft over the British Isles during the war. He went onto become an ace in a day shooting down 5 enemy aircraft in one day. His war was a brief one lasting only about a year and 21 kills.

The controversial Sandyford Gender Clinic in Glasgow is prescribing puberty blockers to children as young as 9.
40% of the children referred to the Sandyford clinic had mental health problems, and a very high proportion had autism, but the clinic sent many of them for drug and other therapies.
Health professionals and former de-transitioned clients of the clinic have attacked it, saying it should be shut down and is a danger to Scotland's children.
But still, Sturgeon and her Green allies support the clinic and refuse to close it. This is institutional abuse of our children and needs to stop.

The first person to be convicted in court as both a man and a woman happened in Dundee. The defendant was up on charges from different times in the last year and identified as a male in some of them and female in others.

The Scottish National Antarctic Expedition (SNAE)was organised and led by William Speirs Bruce, a natural scientist and former medical student from the University of Edinburgh. Although overshadowed in terms of prestige by Robert Falcon Scott's concurrent Discovery Expedition, the SNAE completed a full programme of exploration and scientific work. Its achievements included the establishment of a staffed meteorological station, the first in Antarctic territory, and the discovery of new land to the east of the Weddell Sea. Its large collection of biological and geological specimens, together with those from Bruce's earlier travels, led to the establishment of the Scottish Oceanographical Laboratory in 1906

Sturgeon seems to be determined to push Scotland ever further into clown world
Under a "feminist foreign policy", out go armed forces and military action as part of foreign policy. In comes prioritising peace, gender equality, focusing on the well-being of the world's most marginalised people, and challenging existing power structures such as racism, colonialism, and male-domination
So it appears that, in Sturgeon's Scotland, we will be sending loads of cash to people abroad and inviting in loads of "marginalised" people to come and live in Scotland. Out will go jobs for men, in will come extra jobs and educational places for women, the prioritising of the "rights" of women over other people, and any traditional structures that are deemed to be linked to so-called "colonialism" will be banished

On this day in 1864 Sir Robert Lorimer ,who became one of Britain's most famous architects was born in Edinburgh.
Sir Robert Stodart Lorimer, KBE was a prolific Scottish architect and furniture designer noted for his sensitive restorations of historic houses and castles, for new work in Scots Baronial and Gothic Revival styles, and for promotion of the Arts and Crafts movement.
Lorimer became President of the professional body in Scotland, the Incorporation of Architects in Scotland, and it was during his tenure in office that the body received its second royal charter, permitting use of the term 'Royal' in the title. Lorimer was a fellow of the North British Academy of Arts.
Lorimer died in Edinburgh in 1929.He was cremated at the newly opened Warriston Crematorium and his ashes were thereafter buried with his parents at Newburn in rural south-east Fife, close to the family home of Kellie Castle.

In yet another attack on the family by the Scottish Government and local councils, a school in West Dunbartonshire has banned teachers from letting parents know that children as young as 12 are changing gender at school. The school and council say they are following Scottish Government guidance. This appears to be happening at more and more schools across Scotland.
Parental authority has been under constant attack for years now under various governments. But this has increased under the present SNP/Green alliance and their gender war on society is having negative societal consequences.

She just announced at the conference that Scotland is going to give £5 million in climate "reparations" to less developed countries that are affected by "climate change".
Ar the same time as she is giving away the people of Scotland's money, we have a financial crisis at home. The health budget has just seen a £400 million cut, over £1.2 billion in total cuts have been made to the Scottish budget, Scots can't feed their children or heat their homes, council budgets are facing multi-million-pound deficits that are going to mean large cuts in services and staff redundancies.
But Sturgeon has decided to hand this money over as a vanity project so she can carry on pretending she is a progressive world leader.
The people of Scotland need a government that puts them first. Join us in trying to make that change.

James Ramsay MacDonald FRS was a British politician who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, the first who belonged to the Labour Party, leading minority Labour governments for nine months in 1924 and again between 1929 and 1931. From 1931 to 1935, he headed a National Government dominated by the Conservative Party and supported by only a few Labour members. MacDonald was expelled from the Labour Party as a result.
MacDonald was born at Gregory Place, Lossiemouth, Moray, Scotland, the illegitimate son of John MacDonald, a farm labourer, and Anne Ramsay, a housemaid. Registered at birth as James McDonald (sic) Ramsay, he was known as Jaimie McDonald.
MacDonald, along with Keir Hardie and Arthur Henderson, was one of the three principal founders of the Labour Party in 1900. He was chairman of the Labour MPs before 1914 and, after an eclipse in his career caused by his opposition to the First World War, he was Leader of the Labour Party from 1922.

The Scottish Government has been referred to the UK’s statistics watchdog over alleged inconsistencies in the reporting of Accident and Emergency (A&E) figures.
At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow alone, over 2000 people are being "hidden" from the A&E waiting times it appears.
The SNP are constantly lying to the people of Scotland, not just over health figures but on many other subjects as well.
The people of Scotland deserve a government that will be truthful and open with them, not one that treats them in this way.

Dryburgh Abbey, near Dryburgh on the banks of the River Tweed in the Scottish Borders, was founded by an agreement between Hugh de Morville, Constable of Scotland, and the Premonstratensian canons regular from Alnwick Abbey in Northumberland. The arrival of the canons along with their first abbot, Roger, took place on 13 December 1152.
It was burned by English troops in 1322, after which it was restored only to be again burned by Richard II in 1385, but it flourished in the fifteenth century. It was finally destroyed in 1544, briefly to survive until the Scottish Reformation, when it was given to the Earl of Mar by James VI of Scotland. It is now a designated scheduled monument and the surrounding landscape is included in the Inventory of Gardens and Designed Landscapes in Scotland.
Sir Walter Scott and Douglas Haig are buried in its grounds.

Aberdeen is going to spend over £6 million to refurbish 500 empty council homes that they will then give to Ukrainian refugees.
While it is easy to sympathise with the Ukrainians, who have had to flee a very difficult situation, over 5000 local people are on the Aberdeen council house waiting list, many of whom have been on it for years.
These houses should have been refurbished years ago for local people to be housed. But it appears, yet again, that incomers are more important than indigenous Scots to the politicians in Scotland.
The system in Scotland needs to fundamentally change to make sure that the country is run for the benefit of indigenous Scots. This will not happen with any of the mainstream parties in power. Scotland needs an alternative, a truly Patriotic Alternative.

On this day in 1918 the armistice was signed between the Allies of World War I and Germany at Compiègne, France, at 5:45 amfor the cessation of hostilities on the Western Front of World War I, which took effect at eleven in the morning—the "eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month" of 1918.The armistice initially expired after a period of 36 days and had to be extended several times. A Linlithgow pub whose name is part of the heritage of the town has had its name changed to suit the woke agenda of the large brewery that owns it.
The pub is called The Black Bitch in reference to a local story about a black female greyhound that is said to have stolen food to give to its imprisoned owner. The story dates back 700 years and the image of the dog is part of Linlithgow's town crest. 11,000 local people signed a petition against the name change and lodged 500 complaints.
But the history of the pub's name and the views of locals meant nothing to the bewer Greene King, which has declared itself an "anti-racist" organisation. Greene King forced through the name change as they wrongly considered the name racist.
Large corporations and the woke warriors care nothing of the history of our land. We can expect to see more of this in the future and we need to fight back to preserve our heritage.

Yesterday, members of Patriotic Alternative Scotland met in Glasgow to hold a service and lay a wreath for Remembrance Sunday.
After a moving speech from our regional organiser and a minute silence to remember the fallen of all the conflicts our people have been involved in, attendees held a banner stating "No More Brother Wars."

NHS Scotland, a failing organisation with ever longer waiting lists and a shrinking budget, is proposing to "fast track" transgender surgery and treatment.
NHS Scotland intends to allow doctors, not specialists, to send patients for irreversible surgery without any investigation of patients' mental health. They also intend to carry on the treatment of children, even after many specialists have warned of the dangers of these policies.
It is a disaster in the making, not just for patients but for the wider NHS as more resources and time are allocated to transgender procedures.
