The SNP have been urged to drop their failed "curriculum for excellence", a policy that has been attacked not just by politicians but also by teachers and the students that it has been forced upon.
Scotland used to be seen as one of the leaders in education worldwide but since the SNP took power our nation's education system has sunk down the rankings year on year.
A further worry is that education has become very politicised under the SNP, with it being used to further the liberal elite's agenda of promoting LBGT and the likes of BLM, teaching our children a highly distorted version of history. We need a return to traditional teaching, and to end this brainwashing of our children.

On this day in 1268 Alexander III aged 44, dies in a fall from his horse en route to be with his new bride Yolande de Dreux in Fife.
He concluded the Treaty of Perth, by which Scotland acquired sovereignty over the Western Isles and the Isle of Man. His heir, Margaret, Maid of Norway, died before she could be crowned.

The lads of Mid Scotland and Fife were at it again today posting 500 leaflets in the town of Tillicoultry and litter picking along The Glen road to help spread awareness of local campaigner Tony Girling and show just what a community of activists can achieve, to top it off these brave lads then did a banner drop right in the middle of town, a fun day had by all, If you are interested in joining a community of like minded individuals and standing up for the indigenous people right across the UK then get in touch with your local contact or sign up at https://www.patrioticalternative.org.uk/ and play your part.

The Scottish Sun has printed a supposed โhit-pieceโ about our recent work. As usual, the language they use only highlights their hate for those who love our people. We gave them the statement below on request and you can see how they have edited it from the original below.
โPatriotic Alternative unapologetically stands up for the indigenous people of Scotland and we have no interest in tedious accusations from anti-White individuals and groups. Instead, our focus remains on our people, and raising awareness about our demographic decline and the anti-White hatred that makes true Scots second class citizens in our own country. Itโs important that we Scots remember people like Kriss Donald because while George Floyd and Stephen Lawrence are spoken about constantly, Kriss, who was murdered by 4 Pakistani males because of his race, is forgotten about because he is White.โ

On this day in 687 Saint Cuthbert of Lindisfarne died at Inner Farne Island.
Saint Cuthbert was born in Dunbar, which was part of Northumbria at the time though is now in Scotland.
Cuthbert of Lindisfarne was an Anglo-Saxon saint of the early Northumbrian church in the Celtic tradition. He was a monk, bishop and hermit, associated with the monasteries of Melrose and Lindisfarne in the Kingdom of Northumbria today in north eastern England and South Eastern Scotland. Both during his life and after his death he became a popular medieval saint of Northern England, with a cult centred on his tomb at Durham Cathedral. Cuthbert is regarded as the patron saint of Northumbria. His feast days are 20 March (Catholic Church, Church of England, Eastern Orthodox Church, Episcopal Church[5]) and 4 September (Church in Wales, Catholic Church).

On this day in 1901 the Royal Research ship Discovery was launched in Dundee. The ship is now docked in Dundee again and is a visitor attraction
The RRS Discovery is a barque-rigged auxiliary steamship built for Antarctic research. She was the last traditional wooden three-masted ship to be built in the United Kingdom. Her first mission was the British National Antarctic Expedition, carrying Robert Falcon Scott and Ernest Shackleton on their first, and highly successful, journey to the Antarctic, known as the Discovery Expedition
After service as a merchant ship before and during the First World War, Discovery was taken into the service of the British government in 1923 to carry out scientific research in the Southern Ocean, becoming the first Royal Research Ship. The ship undertook a two-year expedition โ the Discovery Investigations. From 1929 to 1931 Discovery served as the base for the British Australian and New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition under Douglas Mawson.

It is claimed that teachers in Scotland are covering up violent behaviour by pupils in the classroom over fears they will have a black mark against them if they report it.
Union bosses claim that COVID has put them under pressure to make "exceptions" and play down the fact that aggressive and violent behaviour is on the increase.
The problem goes further than just COVID. For years, any form of discipline has been lost in the classroom, with it becoming harder and harder for teachers to sanction pupils for bad behaviour. The increasing promotion of the idea of children's "rights" have made it increasingly difficult as well and has cut into teachers' authority. Additionally, in many cases parents no longer seem to respect teachers' right to discipline their children.
There needs to be a change in the way education is run, to reassert the authority of teachers in the classroom and their ability to enforce discipline.

On this day in 1406 King James 1st of Scotland was captured by English pirates as he sailed to France and handed over to the English King Henry IV.

Shell is reconsidering its decision to pull out of the Cambo oil field development. It previously withdrew after pressure from environmentalists and a lack of support from the SNP government.
While reducing Scotland's reliance on fossil fuels and cutting our carbon footprint is a laudable aim, moving too quickly away from their use just now with surging oil prices is not the way to go.
The impact of rising oil and gas prices, coupled with surging food prices and stagnant wages, is making life ever more difficult for people.
The UK needs to think about its security and, as recent events have shown, a major part of securing our nation is energy security. Now is not the time to abandon the oil reserves we have.

On this day in 1708 Charles Francis Edward Staurt, also know as the Old Pretender, attempted to land in Scotland
His fleet of French ships entered the Firth of Forth but were intercepted by fleet of Admiral Sir George Byng and that combined with bad weather, prevented a landing.
It was not until 1715 during Jacobite risings in Scotland and Cornwall that he eventually managed to land in Scotland . Though even then his time in Scotland was short lived after illness and several Jacobite defeats. He fled back to France fearing the approach of Goverment troops on the 5th of Febrauary 1716.

The SNP ferry fiasco continues. Audit Scotland has found that the ferries which are now costing at least ยฃ240 million, well over the initial estimate, may never actually be able to be used.
Audit Scotland also found that even when the SNP were warned about misgivings of the eventual ship owners about awarding the contract to Ferguson Marine they still pressed ahead. Most of the remedial work on the ferries has not even been carried out yet and costs are still rising. Meanwhile, Scotland's island communities struggle with a terrible ferry service that has led to a shortage of goods in island shops at times and people unable to leave the islands for vital appointments.
It is no surprise that when the contracts were awarded the shipyard was owned by Jim McColl who was at the time a major supporter of and advisor to the SNP. The SNP practising crony capitalism, it seems.
The situation with the ferries in Scotland needs to be resolved quickly, but the SNP seem incapable of doing this.

The free Duolingo course on Scottish Gaelic has reached over 1 million learners with over 400,000 currently actively learning the language.
This can only be a good thing for Scottish culture. The number of native Gaelic speakers in Scotland had fallen to only around 50,000. This surge in learning will hopefully boost those numbers.
The use of Gaelic was banned by the British government for many years, something that was partly responsible for the massive drop in its use. The underfunding and underdevelopment of Scotland's rural and island communities by successive governments also led to mass migration away from areas where Gaelic is spoken, and therefore the loss of its use as future generations of traditional users grew up abroad or in the big cities of the UK.
We hope to see the further development of the use of not just Gaelic but also traditional Scottish dialects like Scots and Doric.
