On this day in 1935 John James Rickard McLeod died in Aberdeen. McLean is one of several Nobel Proze winners that Scotland has produced. Yet again showing how for a small country Scotland consistently punches above its weight in creativity, science, medicine, business and innovation.
John James Rickard Macleod FRS FRSE was a British biochemist and physiologist. He devoted his career to diverse topics in physiology and biochemistry, but was chiefly interested in carbohydrate metabolism. He is noted for his role in the discovery and isolation of insulin during his tenure as a lecturer at the University of Toronto, for which he and Frederick Banting received the 1923 Nobel prize in Physiology or Medicine.Awarding the prize to Macleod was controversial at the time, because according to Banting's version of events, Macleod's role in the discovery was negligible. It was not until decades after the events that an independent review acknowledged a far greater role than was attributed to him at first.

After yet another policy failure the SNP are looking at moving the goalposts to try and claim a success in the future. The SNP is all about smoke and mirrors, trying to fudge their failures to make them look as though they are a successful governing party. But their policies are one failure after another
The failure of their green jobs policy should worry the people of Scotland. This is the very policy they said would create a green 'gold rush' for Scotland and which would replace the 10,000s of jobs that will be lost in the coming years in the oil and gas industry because of the SNP/Green alliance's 'carbon neutral' policy - another policy that is sure to fail, bringing pain to sections of the Scottish public and businesses.
The SNP's policies (or lack of coherent, well planned policies) are failing the Scottish people in every area from child poverty reduction (another target they have just missed) to industrial strategy. The SNP and their Green partners are not competent to run our nation and need to go.

The SNP hate the true Scots. They don't even like the word National in their party's name. So it was no surprise that one of these traitorous politicians, didn't like our banner on the M8 at the weekend.
Poor old McLaughlin does not think White Lives Matter... She hates herself and her race. Sad but true.

On this day in 1328 the Treaty of Edinburgh- Northampton was signed in Edinburgh by Robert the Bruce . The Treaty was ratified by the Parliament of Scotland at Northampton on 1st of May 1328. It brought to an end the first war of Scottish Independence.
The terms of the treaty stipulated that in exchange for ยฃ100,000 sterling, the English Crown would recognise:
The Kingdom of Scotland as fully independent;
Robert the Bruce, and his heirs and successors, as the rightful rulers of Scotland;
The border between Scotland and England as that recognised under the reign of Alexander III (1249โ1286).
One of two copies of the document, which was written in French, is held by the National Archives of Scotland in Edinburgh.[1] However, the document does not constitute the entire peace treaty, which was contained in a number of indentures, notorial instruments and letters patent issued by Edward III and Robert I. Since none of them survives, not all details of the peace treaty are known.

On this day in 1689 the king's own Scottish Borders regiment was raised in Edinburgh. The regiment had a long and illustrious history until it was amalagamated with other Scottish regiments in 2006.
The regiment was raised on 18 March 1689 by David Leslie, 3rd Earl of Leven to defend Edinburgh against the Jacobite forces of James VII. It's claimed that 800 men were recruited within the space of two hours. The regiment's first action was at the Battle of Killiecrankie on 27 July 1689. Although this battle was a defeat for the Williamite army, the Jacobite commander, John Graham, 1st Viscount Dundee was killed by a volley fired by Leven's Regiment, bringing an end to James II's attempt to save his throne in Scotland. The regiment was judged to have performed well and was granted the privilege of recruiting by beat of drum in the City of Edinburgh without prior permission of the provost.

The SNP have been urged to drop their failed "curriculum for excellence", a policy that has been attacked not just by politicians but also by teachers and the students that it has been forced upon.
Scotland used to be seen as one of the leaders in education worldwide but since the SNP took power our nation's education system has sunk down the rankings year on year.
A further worry is that education has become very politicised under the SNP, with it being used to further the liberal elite's agenda of promoting LBGT and the likes of BLM, teaching our children a highly distorted version of history. We need a return to traditional teaching, and to end this brainwashing of our children.

The Scottish Sun are writing an article about PA Scotland's Kriss Donald memorial and demo. They collected a load of quotes from people who said it was offensive and then asked us for a statement on these quotes. This is what we sent them. Let's see what they print...

On this day in 1268 Alexander III aged 44, dies in a fall from his horse en route to be with his new bride Yolande de Dreux in Fife.
He concluded the Treaty of Perth, by which Scotland acquired sovereignty over the Western Isles and the Isle of Man. His heir, Margaret, Maid of Norway, died before she could be crowned.

The lads of Mid Scotland and Fife were at it again today posting 500 leaflets in the town of Tillicoultry and litter picking along The Glen road to help spread awareness of local campaigner Tony Girling and show just what a community of activists can achieve, to top it off these brave lads then did a banner drop right in the middle of town, a fun day had by all, If you are interested in joining a community of like minded individuals and standing up for the indigenous people right across the UK then get in touch with your local contact or sign up at https://www.patrioticalternative.org.uk/ and play your part.

The Scottish Sun has printed a supposed โhit-pieceโ about our recent work. As usual, the language they use only highlights their hate for those who love our people. We gave them the statement below on request and you can see how they have edited it from the original below.
โPatriotic Alternative unapologetically stands up for the indigenous people of Scotland and we have no interest in tedious accusations from anti-White individuals and groups. Instead, our focus remains on our people, and raising awareness about our demographic decline and the anti-White hatred that makes true Scots second class citizens in our own country. Itโs important that we Scots remember people like Kriss Donald because while George Floyd and Stephen Lawrence are spoken about constantly, Kriss, who was murdered by 4 Pakistani males because of his race, is forgotten about because he is White.โ

On this day in 687 Saint Cuthbert of Lindisfarne died at Inner Farne Island.
Saint Cuthbert was born in Dunbar, which was part of Northumbria at the time though is now in Scotland.
Cuthbert of Lindisfarne was an Anglo-Saxon saint of the early Northumbrian church in the Celtic tradition. He was a monk, bishop and hermit, associated with the monasteries of Melrose and Lindisfarne in the Kingdom of Northumbria today in north eastern England and South Eastern Scotland. Both during his life and after his death he became a popular medieval saint of Northern England, with a cult centred on his tomb at Durham Cathedral. Cuthbert is regarded as the patron saint of Northumbria. His feast days are 20 March (Catholic Church, Church of England, Eastern Orthodox Church, Episcopal Church[5]) and 4 September (Church in Wales, Catholic Church).

On this day in 1901 the Royal Research ship Discovery was launched in Dundee. The ship is now docked in Dundee again and is a visitor attraction
The RRS Discovery is a barque-rigged auxiliary steamship built for Antarctic research. She was the last traditional wooden three-masted ship to be built in the United Kingdom. Her first mission was the British National Antarctic Expedition, carrying Robert Falcon Scott and Ernest Shackleton on their first, and highly successful, journey to the Antarctic, known as the Discovery Expedition
After service as a merchant ship before and during the First World War, Discovery was taken into the service of the British government in 1923 to carry out scientific research in the Southern Ocean, becoming the first Royal Research Ship. The ship undertook a two-year expedition โ the Discovery Investigations. From 1929 to 1931 Discovery served as the base for the British Australian and New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition under Douglas Mawson.
