SNP ministers plan to spend £300k on 'classroom ventilation' by chopping the bottom off classroom doors.

This insane use of tax money is to solve what has been described as 'problematic' carbon dioxide levels in classrooms. The proposed ideas included extractor fans and air filters.

Rather than these viable solutions, the SNP are going to spend thousands in tax money chopping up doors. Scottish schools deserve better than this.

On this day in 1304 John Comyn III of Badenoch, also known as Red Comyn, who was the Guardian of Scotland, signed a peace treaty at Strathord, near Perth, with Edward I of England.

Echoing the Treaty of Birgham, it was stipulated that laws, usages, and customs in place in the time of Alexander III should be retained. Comyn insisted that there should be no reprisals or disinheritance, which Edward accepted, with notable exceptions. Edward maintained his particular hatred for one former Guardian. Comyn was thus obliged to adhere to a condition in which he and other named individuals were to "capture Sir William Wallace and hand him over to the king, who will watch to see how each of them conducts himself so that he can do most favour to whoever shall capture Wallace..." There is no evidence to suggest Comyn made any effort to fulfill this condition.

Comyn was murdered at Greyfriars Kirk in Dumfries by Robert the Bruce and others in 1306. This plunged Scotland into civil war that lasted till 1308.
On this day in 1652 Oliver Cromwell's "tender union" is announced in Edinburgh. This union, which was forced on the Scots, gave them 30 seats in a United Parliament in London. At the same time General Monck was made Military Governor of Scotland. It was not until the monarchy was restored under Charles II in 1660 that Scotland again became an independent nation.
On this day in 1705 the Alien Act was passed in the English Parliament.

The Alien Act was a law passed by the Parliament of England in February 1705, as a response to the Parliament of Scotland's Act of Security of 1704, which in turn was partially a response to the English Act of Settlement of 1701. Lord Godolphin, the Lord High Treasurer, was instrumental in the Union of 1707 and all the Acts leading up to it. The Alien Act was passed to prevent the inconveniences that would occur hastily if these two Kingdoms were not to become one Union.

The Alien Act provided that Scottish nationals in England were to be treated as aliens (foreign nationals), and estates held by Scots would be treated as alien property, making inheritance much less certain. It also included an embargo on the import of Scottish products into England and English colonies – about half of Scotland's trade, covering goods such as linen, cattle and coal. There was also an embargo on the export of arms, ammunition, and horses to Scotland.
A protest against the rising cost of living and how it affects the poorer sections of the society more than the richer section of society is to he held in George Square on February the 12th.

Analysis of the announcement by the New Economics Foundation (NEF) found the poorest 10 per cent of families will see energy costs increase by £724, a 7.5 times larger rise than the richest 10 per cent of families. Meanwhile, real wages are set to fall by £50 a month on average this year, according to new TUC analysis of Bank of England figures.

We need a goverment that will look after the most vulnerable and badly paid in our society. They need to address the ever rising cost of fuel ,food and many other goods, tax rises and low wages to help the people of our Country. Work has to pay for people. The mainstream.parties are not looking out for the average man and women and an alternative is needed..a Patriotic Alternative.

Clean & Pure gift seeded paper with each purchase to help save our bees. Since WW2. 97% of natural bee and butterfly habitat has been lost, that is frightening and critical.

I’ve come across this company BeeBombs who make Native, wildflower seedballs, which are handmade in Dorset.

You can help bring the bees back!

Firefighters have called for the SNP to rethink their plan to chop the bottoms off fire doors to 'improve ventilation.'

Despite the outcry of confusion and laughter the SNP have received from the Scottish people, Nicola Sturgeon calls chopping up doors 'common sense.'

The SNP are in desperate need to rethink this plan. They are putting Scotland's children in more danger than Covid could ever have caused.
The Scottish Government is spending £50,000 as the first part of a project to investigate and develop responses to the scale and type of "extremism" in Scotland.

In the year to March 2020, 100 people in Scotland had been referred to the Prevent Scotland anti-"extremism" program - 35% for allegedly "extreme" right-wing views.

A lot of this research seems to be directed towards what they call "right-wing extremism". Are we going to see an even more hostile environment appear in Scotland toward any group or person whose views are not in the mainstream or to the left of the spectrum? It appears highly likely. Our freedom of speech and thought under the Scottish government is under growing threat and we must seek to preserve our right to them.

On this day in 1615 Patrick Stewart, 2nd Earl of Orkney, was beheaded at the Market Cross in Edinburgh for treason.

Patrick was the son of Robert, Earl of Orkney, a bastard son of King James V. He was infamous for his godless nature and tyrannical rule over the Scottish archipelagos of Orkney and Shetland. Patrick's financial mismanagement and his brutality against the local population led to him being summoned before the Privy Council in 1609, and then imprisoned in Edinburgh Castle.

After Patrick's imprisonment, he sent his illegitimate son Robert Stewart to raise a rebellion in Orkney in his favour. Robert seized the Palace of Birsay with thirty companions in May 1614, then occupied the Earl's Palace, the castle and St Magnus Cathedral in Kirkwall. As many as 700 rebels joined the rebellion. Robert was defeated by a force commanded by the Earl of Caithness at the end of September, after a five-week siege of the Earl's Palace. Robert himself was put on trial in Edinburgh and hanged with 5 others.

On this day in 1603 the Battle of Fruin took place between the Clan Gregor and its allies on one side, and the Clan Colquhoun and its allies on the other. The Clan Gregor (or MacGregor) and Clan Colquhoun were at feud due to the MacGregors carrying out raids on the Colquhoun's lands. The Colquhouns gained royal support and raised an army against the MacGregors. However, during the subsequent battle of Glen Fruin, the Colquhouns were comprehensively defeated. Glen Fruin is in the Loch Lomond area, in the county of Dunbartonshire, Scotland. In the aftermath of the battle royal policy punished the MacGregors for 150 years.

Alexander Colquhoun, the chief, was chased all the way to Rossdhu Castle which afforded him some refuge. According to Fraser, 140 Colquhouns were killed in the battle and many more were wounded.Other sources state that over 200 Colquhouns were killed.

The NHS in Scotland is in crisis due to the Scottish Government's lack of planning and its ongoing restrictions.

One in 9 people in Scotland are on a waiting list and waiting times are just getting longer with no plan in place to bring them down. The number of cancelled operations are up and mental health services are struggling to deal with the fallout amongst NHS staff and the public due to the strain put on the due to the SNP ongoing restrictions. GPs and dentists are both reporting problems with staff numbers. The ambulance service are seeing waiting times of up to 8 hours, putting people's lives in danger.

The SNP have consistently failed the people of Scotland when it comes to the NHS and have no idea how to run the service and no vision for its future.

The people of Scotland need to wake up and realise that the SNP are a failure and that there needs to be an alternative to them and the other mainstream parties. An alternative that will build a better future for our people. A Patriotic Alternative.
As the rest of the world appears to be opening up and moving away from restrictions it seems that Humza Yusaf and his SNP cronies are still determined to stick to their Project Fear agenda.

Our nation is suffering from slow growth, a failing NHS and education service, a lot of which is down to the SNP's ongoing restrictions. They SNP are already refusing to relinquish some of the "temporary" powers that they forced through Parliament, now looking to make them permanent.

It appears that the SNP is more interested in keeping an authoritarian grip on the people of Scotland than moving on from the Covid crisis as the rest of the world is.

It is time for the people of Scotland to remove the fake nationalists of the SNP and bring in a government that will restore our people's freedoms.

The Scottish government seeks to reduce car travel by 20% by 2030 to reduce climate change.

We already know that the government soon wants to ban the sale of nonelectric cars, an insane task that will litter Scotland's countryside with charging ports.
Now they seek to reduce car travel. Their solution is bikes and buses.

Buses will not reduce emissions and cycling everywhere will be impossible for a developed country. The SNP are more desperate than intelligent when dealing with the climate.

This weekend PA activists took to the streets of Scotland capital to demand and end to tyrannical Covid legislation.

The peaceful protest enjoyed overwhelming support from the local public who are fed up of having their freedoms curtailed at the whims of a rootless international clique.

The oldest cattle breed in the world, the stunning and lively Highland Cow.

We in the Isles have a special instinctive bond with these animals, as they demonstrate highly sociable and personable behaviour towards people and we sweepingly farm and care for them to a greater standard of welfare than any other livestock. A curious and ancient bond between native man and beast.

On this day in 1587 Mary Queen of Scots was executed at Fotheringhay Castle after 19 years in captivity in England.

Mary had been wrongly accused of being part of the Babbington Plot to assainate Queen Elizabeth 1st. She was found quilty of being involved in the plot and sentenced to death on the 25th of October 1586 and Elizabeth signed her death warrant on the 1st of February 1587. The Privy Council decided to move ahead rapidly with her execution. Elizabeth later denied that she had wanted the death warrant handed over and acted on.

Mary was originally buried at Peterborough cathedral in July of that year..when her son James VI of Scotland and I of England came to power he moved her body to Westminster cathedral and had it reintered in a grand tomb near Elizabeth's.

The political establishment yet again shows its hypocrisy.

Starmer was surrounded by a mob berating him, not so much it seems about Savile but about his support for Covid restrictions. The establishment worries about his safety as they say he has been branded by opponents with words that could lead to him being attacked. The very same establishment that is quick to brand anyone to the right of centre, and even some that are close to the centre, as "Nazis", "scum", "knuckle draggers", etc, and which calls blatantly at times for them to be attacked.

They are happy for anyone asking questions about the way our nation is run and about the future our people to be hounded, attacked, jailed and made unemployable, but when it comes to their own it's a different matter.
