On this day in 1894 Robert Louis Stevenson, one of Scotlands most famous writers died in Samoa.

Born and educated in Edinburgh, Stevenson suffered from serious bronchial trouble for much of his life, but continued to write prolifically and travel widely in defiance of his poor health. As a young man, he mixed in London literary circles, receiving encouragement from Andrew Lang, Edmund Gosse, Leslie Stephen and W. E. Henley, the last of whom may have provided the model for Long John Silver in Treasure Island. In 1890, he settled in Samoa where, alarmed at increasing European and American influence in the South Sea islands, his writing turned away from romance and adventure fiction toward a darker realism. He died in his island home in 1894 at age 44.

A celebrity in his lifetime, Stevenson's critical reputation has fluctuated since his death, though today his works are held in general acclaim. In 2018 he was ranked, just behind Charles Dickens, as the 26th-most-translated author in the world.

It would appear that there are some very degenerate and worrying minds at work within the Scottish Government.

The Scottish government has issued its health and well-being survey to school children as young as 8. The survey asks questions including whether they had taken part in sexual activity within the last 12 months, whether the sex was vaginal, anal, whether contraception was used and many other questions of a highly explicit sexual nature. The survey also asks about drug and alcohol use

Surprisingly (or maybe quite unsurprisingly, given the previous actions of some councils) it appears that councils are revolting over this and refusing to participate, or heavily censoring the survey

While we obviously need to know the health of our nation's youth, this appears to go far beyond that

There are questions that need to be asked about the people that are promoting this survey and their motivations. We already see the government filling our children's heads with degeneracy such as their position on gender

On this day in 1745, Charles Edward Stuart, better known as Bonnie Prince Charlie, and his Jacobite army entered the English city of Derby.

This was the furthest that the Jacobite Army penetrated into England. Many of its commanders had already argued that they had come far enough and should retreat to carry on the war in Scotland.

There was no sign of a French landing in England, and despite the large crowds that turned out to see them on the march south, only Manchester provided a significant number of recruits; Preston, a Jacobite stronghold in 1715, supplied three. Murray argued they had gone as far as possible and now risked being cut off by superior forces, with Cumberland advancing north from London, and Wade moving south from Newcastle.

The council were overwhelmingly in favour of retreat. So the army headed back into Scotland and eventually to defeat at Culloden. There has been much debate over what would have happened if they had carried on south. But we can never know.

It is great to see the Scottish government putting money into dealing with sexual exploitation, covering everything from sex for sale through to revenge porn.

But it would be even better to see them not shy away from the potentially sensitive subjects of the grooming of white Scottish women by men of non-white ethnicity and the sexual exploitation of children that goes on within certain non-indigenous communities.

People have been aware of these issues for years, especially in Glasgow. But attempts to highlight them have been met with silence from the politicians and the police service. In years gone past, people attempting to highlight the situation have in fact been gagged and threatened by the police to keep them quiet to "avoid inflaming racial tensions".

It appears to the political class and Police Scotland that people's feelings and political correctness come before protecting children and Scottish women. The truth needs to be told and action taken.

On this day in 1973 Sir Robert Watson-Watt passed away in Inverness.

He was a Scottish pioneer of radio direction finding and radar technology.

In 1935 Watt was asked to comment on reports of a German death ray based on radio. Watt and his assistant Arnold Frederic Wilkins quickly determined it was not possible, but Wilkins suggested using radio signals to locate aircraft at long distances. This led to a February 1935 demonstration where signals from a BBC short-wave transmitter were bounced off a Handley Page Heyford aircraft. Watt led the development of a practical version of this device, which entered service in 1938 under the code name Chain Home. This system provided the vital advance information that helped the Royal Air Force win the Battle of Britain.

After the success of his invention, Watson Watt was sent to the US in 1941 to advise on air defence after Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor. He returned and continued to lead radar development for the War Office and Ministry of Supply.

More hypocrisy from the SNP.

The SNP have always claimed that the only way to secure the NHS from the evil Tories is to vote SNP. But it now appears that at least some of the SNP support the same privatisation ideas as the Thatcherite wing of the Conservative party.

Michael Russell is a long-time major player in the SNP and is now Political Director of the Independence Unit. Can we trust the SNP to protect the NHS and the future of our nation? It seems unlikely, based on their running down of the Health and Education sectors.

Scotland and its people need a proper nationalist government. One that will invest in the health and education of our nation. One that will make sure that all essential services remain owned by and run for the benefit of the Scottish people. Scotland needs a Patriotic Alternative.

On this day in 1214, Alexander II was crowned at Scone in Perthshire. He was the only son of William the Lion.

In 1216 Alexander joined the English barons in their struggle against King John of England, and led an army into the Kingdom of England in support of their cause.

The Scottish forces reached the south coast of England at the port of Dover where in September 1216. Alexander paid homage to the pretender Louis of France for his lands in England, chosen by the barons to replace King John. But John having died, the papacy and the English aristocracy changed their allegiance to his nine-year-old son, Henry III, forcing the French and the Scots armies to return home.

He concluded the Treaty of York (1237) which defined the boundary between England and Scotland, virtually unchanged today.

Alexander took control of Caithness (which was part of the kingdom of Norway) and Argyle within his reign. He also set out to conquer the Western Isles in 1249 but died of a fever on the Isle of Kerrera.

An Edinburgh "activist" has decided that everyone who didn't want a new school that is to be built in Edinburgh named after his mum is a racist.

Vineet Lal wanted it named after his mother Saroj Lal, who it seems was briefly a primary school teacher but spent most of her life in the "Race Relations" industry.

A whopping 62.1% of the locals who responded to the survey to pick a name for the new school in Morningside wanted it named after the street it will be built on, Caanan Lane, rather than an "activist" who hardly anyone would have heard of.

But to Vineet this means that those people are potentially horrible racists. Vineet said of the decision, "at least we are more aware than ever of the gulf between what we, as a society, profess to believe in (equality, diversity, fair representation) and what we actually do when our fingers hover over the keyboard. There is massive reluctance to embrace change; almost anything is preferable to having an educational institution named after a BAME woman."

On this day in 521, Columba or Colmcille was born in Ireland. He was an Irish abbot and missionary evangelist credited with spreading Christianity in what is today Scotland at the start of the Hiberno-Scottish mission.

Around 563 he and his twelve companions crossed to Dunaverty near Southend, Argyll, in Kintyre before settling in Iona in Scotland, then part of the Ulster kingdom of Dál Riata, where they founded a new abbey, which became a dominant religious and political institution in the region for centuries. It was a base for spreading Celtic Christianity among the pagan Northern Pictish kingdoms.

The Clan Malcolm/Clan McCallum claims its name from Columba and was reputedly founded by the descendants of his original followers. It is also said that Clan Robertson Clan Donnachaidh/Duncan are heirs of Columba. Clan MacKinnon may also have some claim to being spiritual descendants of St Columba as after he founded his monastery on Isle Iona; the MacKinnons were the abbots of the Church for centuries.

The SNP have been in power for 14 years and the performance of the NHS has been on a downward trajectory all that time.

The latest NHS waiting times are the worst that have been recorded with only 73.5% of people attending an A&E being seen within the promised 4-hour period.

The SNP are constantly failing the people of Scotland. Scotland has always had a bad record when it comes to the health of its population and the SNP have claimed they are working to change that. But also this month we see a report issued saying that Scotland is still the worst nation for alcohol-related deaths in the UK - something the SNP claim they can tackle with yet more increases to the minimum alcohol pricing, a strategy that is obviously failing. The SNP seem to have no idea how to tackle these issues.

The SNP are failing our people on health, just as they are on education and other matters. The people of Scotland need to see the SNP for the failure that they are and realise there is an alternative: a Patriotic Alternative.

On this day in 1174 the treaty of Falaise was signed between william I, king of Scots and Henry II, King of England. Above is the Chateau de Falaise where william was held captive before the treaty was signed.

During the Revolt of 1173-1174, William joined the rebels and was captured at the Battle of Alnwick during an invasion of Northumbria. He was transported to Falaise in Normandy while Henry prosecuted the war against his sons and their allies. Left with little choice, William agreed to the Treaty and therefore England's dominion over Scotland. For the first time, the relationship between the king of Scots and the king of England was to be set down in writing. The Treaty's provisions affected the Scottish king, nobles, and clergy; their heirs; judicial proceedings, and transferred the castles of Roxburgh, Berwick, Jedburgh, Edinburgh, and Stirling over to English soldiers; in short, where previously the king of Scots was supreme, now England was the ultimate authority in Scotland

If Labour MSP Paul Sweeney gets his way, "refugees" will soon be benefiting from free travel across Scotland

So next time you are looking at your bank account and wondering if you are able to pay the ever-increasing cost of travel in Scotland to get to work or study, you can feel happy in the knowledge that, in the new Scotland, "refugees" don't need to share your worry about whether then can afford to take that bus or train in the future

"Refugees" already receive free housing, a living allowance (which Sweeney also wants to see rise) and other help. It appears that Scottish MSPs want to make Scotland the most attractive place to come to if you are a "refugee" in Europe

Meanwhile, the hard-working people of Scotland are being offered nothing by politicians. All we are being offered are higher travel cost (a certainty now, with bus drivers getting a rise of between 6% and 21%), higher rents, planned increases in alcohol pricing and higher taxes amongst other things. The workers of Scotland deserve better.

On the 28th of November 2021 Scottish activists from Patriotic Alternative gathered at the Holodomor Memorial at Calton Hill, Edinburgh to commemorate the victims of the Judeo-Communist orchestrated Holodomor of 1932-33. Our Lothian Local Contact, Dan, delivered a powerful speech at the service detailing one of the worst crimes in history.

The Holodomor genocide of the Ukrainian people is buried by the establishment, but PA Scotland refuse to submit to tyranny. We will expose the crimes of those who want to remove and replace our people from their homelands. We will never submit to the yoke of Judeo-Communist oppression.
