James the Third of Scotland was born on this day in 1451.

James III (1451-1488) was King of Scots from 1460 until his death in battle in 1488. James was an unpopular and ineffective monarch owing to an unwillingness to administer justice fairly, a policy of pursuing alliance with the Kingdom of England, and a disastrous relationship with nearly all his extended family. It was through his marriage to Margaret of Denmark that the Orkney and Shetland islands were added to the territorial possessions of the Scottish crown.

His reputation as the first Renaissance monarch in Scotland has sometimes been exaggerated, based on attacks on him in later chronicles for being more interested in such unmanly pursuits as music than hunting, riding and leading his kingdom into war. In fact, the artistic legacy of his reign is slight, especially when compared to that of his successors, James IV and James V.

Some Nationalists have been sending Rotherham Police a message. Both they and the council ignored what they knew was going on and allowed hundreds of white girls to be abused by Asian gangs.

You would hope that much would have changed with the attitude and way they both work when it comes to issues like this . But I can't say i have much confidence in the authorities to protect young white girls in Rotherham or anywhere else..

Of course, the scandal of the racist sexual exploitation of young white women is not just in the north of England. The problem exists all over our nation. Many in Scotland are complacent and think that this, and the sex trafficking of white women, does not affect us up here. But it does and yet again the authorities seem to prefer to try to play the issue down.

On this day in 1882 Christopher Murray Grieve was born. Best known by his pen name, Hugh MacDiarmid, he was a Scottish poet, journalist, essayist and political figure. He is considered one of the principal forces behind the Scottish Renaissance and has had a lasting impact on Scottish culture and politics. He was a founding member of the National Party of Scotland in 1928 but left in 1933 due to his Marxist-Leninist views. He joined the Communist Party the following year only to be expelled in 1938 for his nationalist sympathies. He would subsequently stand as a parliamentary candidate for both the Scottish National Party (1945) and British Communist Party (1964).

Sadly, though a great poet, McDiarmid like many others was delusional and misconceived in his political beliefs.

Another factory to close with the loss of 400 jobs in a community that already struggles with depreavation and unemployment.

The company that owns the factory though based in the Uk is part of a Turkish conglomerate. Succesive Goverments have let Britain industrial capacity be sold off to foreign owners that not only dont care about the communities their factories are in but also about the interests of our Nation.

There needs to be a end to foreign ownership of British businesses. Business needs to be run to benefit our Nation and its interests

A day late but worth mentioning. On the 11th of August 1957 Ian Stuart Donaldson was born in Poulton-le-Fylde in Lancashire. also known as Ian Stuart, he was a English Nationalist musician and major figure in right-wing politics.

Stuart was best known as the front-man of Skrewdriver, an Oi! band which, from 1982 onwards, he rebranded as a Rock Against Communism band. He founded the Blood & Honour network, which went onto become an international musical and political network still in existence to this day.

Ian Stuart Donaldson was probably one of the most important personalities in developing the British nationalist scene in the 1980s and early 1990s. He is still held in high regard by many Nationalists worldwide.

He died at the early age of 36 in a car accident in Derbyshire on the 23rd of September 1993. There have been many accusations over the years that the car crash wasn't an accident but caused by the actions of third parties.

A campaign has been launched to name a bridge that is under construction in the north of the city after a murdered asylum seeker. It must be noted that the murder was found not to be a racist attack by the police.

Yet again we see actual victims of racial violence being ignored. Kriss Donald has never had any public acknowledgement of his terrible racially motivated murder by the authorities or the numerous groups that have jumped on the anti-racism gravy train.

It is about time that there is a campaign to have a much bigger and more prominent memorial to Kriss Donald than the small ones that exist today.

Over 500 surgeries have signed up to a scheme that will allow anyone to access medical services without having to provide ID or prove they have any right to be in the UK.

With people struggling to access health services already, this is likely to put an extra strain on the service. The doors are thrown open to not just illegal immigrants but also health tourists, who will now be able to show up and access health care without any proof or registration of their details for the NHS to seek payment.

It is just another thing that will encourage the surging flow of migrants to this country to carry on and increase in numbers. The underfunded, understaffed and badly managed NHS can only but crumble more with the actions of these surgeries.

A campaign has been launched to name the new Glasgow M8 bridge after a murdered asylum seeker to highlight the fight against racism in the city, but the tragic death of Firsat Dag was not found to be racist.

If any name should be given to the bridge to highlight racism in Glasgow it should be called the Kriss Donald Bridge.

Why is this important?

The murder of 15 year old Kriss Donald was horrific and to date there is still no major memorial for him in his home city. Naming the bridge after Kriss would ensure his name is remembered and help to show that the racism he was the victim of will not be tolerated in Glasgow or anywhere else in Scotland.
