With two hospitals in Grampian declaring 'code black' status, where non-essential operations are banned amongst other measures and NHS Lanarkshire saying it is under terrible stress, it looks like the wheels are coming off the SNP Covid-19 strategy. Added to this, the much vaunted contact tracing system is falling well below international standards in another Scottish Government failure.
It also looks like the SNP's recently announced 'freedom day' is also starting to be quietly shelved by the SNP Government with ministers and Sturgeon herself saying that the date is not set in stone.
With many of the worst Covid hotspots in Europe being in Scotland, rising cases, hospitals in crisis and with it looking like the population of Scotland being stuck in restrictions for the foreseeable future, surely the Scottish electorate must realise that the SNP have yet again failed them.

The University of Glasgow used to be one of not just Britain's premier universities but the world's. Now it is filed with "woke" stupidity and virtue signaling. Yet another example of Scotland's once admired education system in decline.
It appears that the new breed of student is judged as being too sensitive to be warned about course content that may "trigger" them by using the word "trigger". The word trigger is now a trigger word that can traumatise students, it seems. The clown world gathers steam in the education sector.
The whole point of university is to challenge people, to expand their minds, to expose them to new ideas and, yes, some of those may make them uneasy. But the world is not an easy place and we do no service to students who will enter the real world by insulating them in some kind of woke-regulated cotton-wool-wrapped world. We should be giving them the tools to deal with unease and difficult situations.

Edinburgh has long been know as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, if not the world. A world heritage site with its soaring spires, castle and ancient buildings . Now that beautiful skyline has what can only be described as a shining golden dog turd looming over it. A Council sponsered vandalism of a beautiful city .
With many brilliant classical trained architects producing beautifu traditional buildings around the world there is no need for a disgrace like this building to scar the face of the city of Edinburgh. Our world needs more of the beauty of traditional buildings not this modern vandalism..it reflects the ugliness that lives in modernity of all types..
It is yet another sign how the politicians in Goverment, both national and local are not fit for the job. They are supposed to be working to make scotland a better place and preserve the beauty of our ancient land. But here we see them allow something that brings ugliness to beauty and ridicule to our nation

On this day in 1911, Simon Fraser, 15th Lord Lovat was born in Beauly, Invernesshire. He was responsible for the fornation of the commando force during world war two and took part in many of the raids against mainland Europe. He was most famous for during the D Day landings telling his personal piper Bill Millin to pipe him and his commandos ashore. Bill demured saying that it was explicitly banned under British army regulations. Fraser famously responded "Ah, but that’s the English War Office. You and I are both Scottish, and that doesn’t apply".
Peter Lawford famously played the part of Fraser in the 1962 film about the D Day landings , the longest day

Patriotic Alternative would like to send their congratulations to our good friend Charlie Big Potatoes and his wife on the happy news that they are having their fourth child.
On this day in 1274 Robert the Bruce was born. His paternal fourth great-grandfather was King David I. Robert's grandfather, Robert de Brus, 5th Lord of Annandale, was one of the claimants to the Scottish throne during the "Great Cause". As Earl of Carrick, Robert the Bruce supported his family's claim to the Scottish throne and took part in William Wallace's revolt against Edward I of England. Appointed in 1298 as a Guardian of Scotland.
Bruce's was crowned king of Scots on 25 March 1306. Edward I's forces defeated Robert in the battle of Methven, forcing him to flee into hiding before re-emerging in 1307 to defeat an English army at Loudoun Hill and wage a highly successful guerrilla war against the English. Bruce defeated his other opponents, destroying their strongholds and devastating their lands, and in 1309 held his first parliament. A series of military victories between 1310 and 1314 won him control of much of Scotland, and at the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314, Robert defeated the English

This weekend members of Patriotic Alternative Scotland travelled down to the Peak District as a group to attend the annual Patriotic Alternative camp and hike.
We had the pleasure to spend the weekend with 150 great nationalists. The event was a great success and we hope to bring an even bigger group attending next year's event.
We would like to thank Mark, Laura and Sam for all the hard work they put into making this weekend camp and hike a great experience for everyone.
If you would like to be part of the PA Scotland team attending the next event or any of the regular events we hold around Scotland, please get in touch. You will be made very welcome.

On this day in 1698, five ships left Leith carrying 1200 people to establish a new colony called New Caledonia on the gulf of Darien in the isthmus of Panama. The expedition was called the Darien scheme. The idea behind it was that the colony would establish and manage an overland route for trade between the Pacific and the Atlantic.
The Company of Scotland which was formed to manage it was backed by 20% of all the money circulating in Scotland at the time. Sadly the scheme was a disaster. The first colony called New Edinburgh was abandoned a year later in 1699 with only 300 of the original settlers surviving. A second group of 1000 settlers arrived in 1699 to find an abandoned settlement. They set about trying to rebuild it but were besieged by Spanish imperial forces. In a daring attack they managed to drive the Spanish from their stockade. The Spanish returned and besieged Fort St Andrew. The colony was abandoned for the second and final time in February 1700.

It appears the SNP have been up to their slippery tricks yet again. They have used the loophole in lobbying regulation that says telephone meetings do not have to be logged in the lobbying register. The meetings have involved various powerfully lobbying organisations, multinational companies and think tanks.
Large amounts of taxpayers' money have been awarded as contracts due to these secret meetings. But the SNP seem to feel that the Scottish taxpayer should know nothing about them. Are we seeing yet more cronyism from the SNP? What organisations are influencing Scottish government policies that they do not want us to know about? The SNP sleaze continues.

On this day in 1807 Henry Benedict Stuart died in Rome. Henry Stuart was the fourth and final Stuart to lay claim to the thrones of England,Scotland and Ireland. Henry was born on the 11th of March 1725 and was the youngest son of James Francis Edward Stuart, who was known as the "old pretender". Unlike his father and Brother he did not actively pursue his claim to the throne but spent most of his life in Rome. He did travel to France in 1744 to help his Brother Charles prepare for the abortive 1745 uprising. He was made a cardinal by the Pope in 1747. During the French revolution he lost his property in France but was awarded an annuity of £4000 by King George the 3rd of Britain. Upon his death at the age of 82 he passed his claim to the throne to his closest blood relative Charles Emmanuel IV of Savoy, who had been King of Sardinia. Neither Charles nor any of his decedents have pursued their claim to the throne. But neither have they renounced it, meaning it remains valid and active in some peoples eyes.
Sources are claiming that Police Scotland are now going to hold a formal investigation into what has happened to money that was donated to the SNP on condition it was used to back a second referendum. The saga of where the "missing" money is and what has happened to it has been dragging on for a good while now. But Police Scotland seem to be a bit reluctant to carry out a formal investigation though numerous complaints have been made to them.
Will we now see some actual action on the saga or will Sturgeon's lapdogs at Police Scotland do their best to cover things up again? Of course, we all know there is no political policing in Scotland, don't we.

The Scottish Census that was supposed to take place this year has been pushed back to 2022. Would anyone like to predict what the census will reveal for Scotland?
The census of 2001 showed that 71, 317 people of Asian descent offically lived in Scotland at that time. By the 2011 census that had just about doubled in ten years to 140,678. The number of "Africans" didnt even register in 2001 but by 2011 there were "offically" 29,637 "Africans" in Scotland. In 2001 there were 3707 "Black British/ Scottish "but by 2011 that was 6247. People from the carribean didnt appear on the 2001 census either but by 2011 there were 6540 on the census..Arabs were similar with none on the 2001 census but 9366 in 2011. The white population of Scotland declined from an offical 97.99% in 2001 to 96.02% in 2011.
So can we trust these offical figures? Which group will see the biggest growth in the next census..will.the white population keep declining?
