Charles Spurgeon said, “Though grace does not run in the blood, and regeneration is not of blood nor of birth, yet doth it very frequently . . . happen that God, by means of one of a household, draws the rest to himself. He calls an individual, and then uses him to be a sort of spiritual decoy to bring the rest of the family into the gospel net.”

“If we would but meet every affliction, be it small or great, with a brave confidence in our Lord’s mighty love to us and an unquenchable faith in His power, our trials would either vanish altogether or be transformed into triumphs which would bring honor to our King!”

Psalm 35:1-12

Great Is the LORD

Of David.

[1] Contend, O LORD, with those who contend with me;
fight against those who fight against me!
[2] Take hold of shield and buckler
and rise for my help!
[3] Draw the spear and javelin
against my pursuers!
Say to my soul,
“I am your salvation!”

[4] Let them be put to shame and dishonor
who seek after my life!
Let them be turned back and disappointed
who devise evil against me!
[5] Let them be like chaff before the wind,
with the angel of the LORD driving them away!
[6] Let their way be dark and slippery,
with the angel of the LORD pursuing them!

[7] For without cause they hid their net for me;
without cause they dug a pit for my life.
[8] Let destruction come upon him when he does not know it!
And let the net that he hid ensnare him;
let him fall into it—to his destruction!

[9] Then my soul will rejoice in the LORD,
exulting in his salvation.
[10] All my bones shall say,
“O LORD, who is like you,
delivering the poor
from him who is too strong for him,
the poor and needy from him who robs him?”

[11] Malicious witnesses rise up;
they ask me of things that I do not know.
[12] They repay me evil for good;
my soul is bereft.

Grace

What does Grace mean?
Grace in New Testament Greek is "charis" (khar' - ece) Definitions include: favor, benefit, gift, benevolence or attitude toward another

Paul uses the word Grace in all 13 of his epistles. He uses the word in his greetings and in his final words of greeting. What is an "epistle" you may be asking? Epistle - Greek word is "epistole" (ep-is-tol-ay') Means a written message or letter. Usually written in response to circumstances that need to be dealt with promptly. This fits when you read Paul's letters dealing with various problems in the new churches.

Why? What kind of Grace is Paul referring to? From whom do we receive this Grace?

Grace comes from our Father in heaven through the blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

We all are born into sin and it is a condition of our heart. God knew we needed a Savior who would have to be sacrificed as the final blood offering in order to atone for our sins. Jesus came to reconcile us back to our Father in heaven through His death, burial and resurrection. God and our Lord Jesus Christ provided the free gift of His favor for our benefit though His benevolence and loving attitude towards us! GRACE!!

It is my prayer that if you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior that you will seek Him out today. He has already paid the price for every sin everyone has ever or will ever commit. Believe that He is the one and only Son of the Most High God, that He came for you, that He died, was buried and resurrected for you. That He ascended into heaven and has forgiven you all of your sins just for the asking, so that you can be reconciled back to your Father.

Here are the simple, but very powerful words of the Apostle Paul:

Romans 1:7
To all those in Rome who are loved by God and called to be saints:
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 16:20
The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

1 Corinthians 1:3
Grace
to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 16:23
The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.

2 Corinthians 1:2
Grace
to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 13:14
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Galatians 1:3
Grace
to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,

Galatians 6:18
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers. Amen.

You get the idea; Ephesians 1:2 / 6:24 Philippians 1:2 / 4:23 Colossians 1:2 / 4:18 1 Thessalonians 1:1 / 5:28 2 Thessalonians 1:2 / 3:18 1 Timothy 1:2 / 6:21 2 Timothy 1:2 / 4:22 Titus 1:4 / 3:15 Philemon 1:3 / 1:25

Ephesians 2:8-9

(8
) For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, (9) not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

God loves you! Jesus loves you! I love you and desire you to have the same assurance of salvation that I have.

Grace to you and peace from our Father and Lord Jesus Christ!
Amen!!

It’s not about trying to convince GOOD men that he is in trouble with a bad God, but it is to convince BAD men that they deserve the wrath and anger of God.

God vs. The World - What?

1 John 2:15-17

Do Not Love the World
(15) Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (16) For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. (17) And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

This topic came up a few times today in various forms. Then, these scriptures "ironically" were part of a Bible study I did today. Okay, you say ironic, I say Holy Spirit wisdom.

The simple truth of it is that EVERY single person that was, that is or that will ever be, will live for ALL eternity. It does not matter whether you believe this or not. It does not matter whether you believe in God or Jesus. It does not matter if you try to run and hide. It does not matter if you don't "feel" like it. You will live for eternity, either with God or without God!

Where? That is the question!

This is what matters: but whoever does the will of God abides forever. Major emphasis on "the will of God"!

The Will of God = The Bible = 100% Truth = Belief in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus for the 1 time payment for the forgiveness of your sins = acceptance of Jesus as your Lord and Savior = salvation = eternity in Heaven with our loving Father, The God Most High.

You can't see me right this second, but I have the most amazing smile on my face and joy in my heart, because I know WHERE I get to spend eternity. With my Father in Heaven!! DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOU WILL BE?

Let me know how I can help you if you're not 100% certain?

Christians were first called “Christians” (Acts 11:26) bc they talked about Christ.

The gospel.

Death. Burial. Resurrection.

Forgiveness of sin.

Blood atonement for sin to satisfy God’s wrath.

Not bc they were trying to “wake people up.”

Not bc they were “patriots.”

Not bc they had promo codes or “platforms.”

The gospel saves souls.

The gospel is also, in my view, the ONLY thing that gives context to today’s chaos.

I will “infight” with anyone who elevates whatever above the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Division is good as long as it tracks to right order.

The Bible tells us how God orders.

Slice & dice. 😃🔪

Requesting input:

I have two (2) coordinated speaking events this week.

Both are “at my discretion” regarding content. One is an hour long sermon/class. One is 35min long sermon/testimonial.

The gospel will be what both events point to.

With that, please give me ideas of what you’d like me tk talk about.

1) Tuesday, 0800CT on Pastor Stuart Guthrie’s “Getting in the Word.” One hour teach, followed by Q&A.

2) Saturday, 1200-1700CT, Gospel & Freedom event (location tbd bc godless commies want to censor). 35min presentation (The Wife & kiddos will be in attendance for this).

Are you feeling overwhelmed?

There is TRUE power in the saving grace of Jesus Christ! He loves you very much and He can be trusted and taken at His word.

Matthew 11:25-30

Come to Me, and I Will Give You Rest

(25)
At that time Jesus declared, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; (26) yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. (27) All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. (28) Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (29) Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (30) For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Just talk to Jesus. Tell Him everything that is on your heart, the good, the bad and even the ugly. Let go of your burdens and lay them at the foot of the cross. 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

If you do not know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior seek Him out today. His loving arms are open and waiting for you. Let him into your life today and experience the glory, joy and peace of the Risen Lord! Amen!

Update From the ground in Ukraine from Pastor Mike.

Quick update on Samantha DeGuzman and Hope DeGuzman from our conversation this morning. They are trying to gather a group to go to the border tomorrow to help the refugees who are waiting in line to go to Romania. They are going to purchase warm clothing, food, blankets, etc... cook hot meals, help with kids, and maybe even build some toilets. The lines on the border can be 2-3 days wait and there are a lot of people suffering that they can help and bring hope to. Thank you for praying!

Update from the Ukraine 🇺🇦 continue to pray for the missionaries on the ground there. Here is latest update from Pastor Mike.

So, some big changes today as the girls are splitting up. Sam is on her way to Poland with Peter and Danik (US/Ukrainian missionaries). They need drivers/workers to load/bring humanitarian aid to the refugees who are still in Ukraine. Hope is staying where she’s at on the Ukrainian side of the Romanian border to prepare a new building to house 40 refugees that are on their way after being severely bombed yesterday.
Hope said, “We both have teams of people surrounding us so don’t worry about us being separate! If I need to leave, we are right next to the border and I definitely won’t hesitate to get out. I really wanted to stay because the people here don’t have a way to buy stuff. I think God has put me here even just to be a bridge to get money and humanitarian aid into the country.” One of their big needs right now is for cash. The stores are no longer accepting cards so, while they have plenty of money in their accounts (from the generosity of God’s people), they don’t have access to it. There is a guy who has US dollars and is asking to exchange those dollars and have the girls transfer the money from their account into his. A missions pastor friend of mine is also working on getting them euros from some missionary contacts he has in Romania. All this to say…please pray. They will update tonight when things slow down a bit.
