The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine appreciates the decision of the revolutionary Colombian President, Gustavo Petro, who issued a decree banning the export of Colombian coal to the Zionist entity, and considers it a courageous and bold decision.

The Colombian President's comments on the ban decision, that “Colombian coal is used in the manufacture of bombs that kill Palestinian children”, are evidence of his full awareness of the contribution of these resources to the continuation of the war of extermination against our people in the Gaza Strip. This step comes within a series of courageous positions taken by Colombia and its revolutionary President, starting with severing diplomatic relations with the Zionist entity, and the ongoing political and diplomatic movement to stop the destructive aggression on the Gaza Strip

The PFLP considers this decision a model to be emulated by all countries that believe in justice and humanity, in order to take similar decisions, cut off all forms of military, economic and diplomatic relations with this criminal entity, prevent it from supply of weapons that it uses to kill innocent civilians, and continue its siege and aggression against the Palestinian people

We see in this decision a strong message directed to the international community that the time has come to leave the zones of inaction and silence and take decisive positions to stop the Zionist killing machine and put an end to this occupation that flouts all human values and international laws
