Following the clearance of multiple villages in the ongoing security operation in Bajaur District, primarily within Zagai Mamund — previously a key militant stronghold — insurgent elements have now consolidated mostly in the Katkot, Gubri, and Damangi sectors.
Yesterday, at approximately 1100 hours, in a rare audio communication, Ilyas Muhajir, alias Malang Badshah, commander of the TTP Bajaur unit, reported that military forces had conducted coordinated raids on their positions in the Katkot and Gubri areas. Sustained combat operations ensued throughout the day, including close-quarters engagements.
Security forces executed multi-directional assaults from Malangy Daman and Dubri in successive waves. During the fourth wave on the Dubri axis, militants incurred significant personnel losses, including the neutralization of a senior Afghan Taliban commander, Pir Agha Kandhari, now integrated into TTP operations, who was responsible for Dubri defenses. Commander Muhajir attributed these losses to the deployment of inexperienced junior operatives in exposed positions.
Additionally, Muhajir criticized and threatened the Gurbi tribes, blaming them for betraying the militants.

The Islamic State Pakistan Province (ISPP), via its media arm Nashir Media, has issued a statement refuting reports circulated by the pro-Taliban outlet Al-Mirsaad Media regarding the killing of ISKP/ISPP members in Quetta and Karachi.
In its statement, ISPP reaffirmed its enmity toward both Pakistan and Afghanistan, accusing the two governments of jointly conducting a disinformation drive aimed at misrepresenting the group’s operations and casualties.
ISPP acknowledged the loss of two fighters — Hassan and Asim — but clarified that their deaths occurred months earlier, in February 2025, during armed clashes with Baloch separatist elements at an ISKP facility in Mastung, Balochistan.
The group also alleged that Afghan Taliban units and Baloch militant factions maintain a working nexus in the Mastung and Zehri regions, coordinating operations to weaken ISKP presence in the area.
Al-Mirsaad Media’s latest campaign surfaced shortly after the assassination of a senior ISKP commander by unidentified assailants in Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan indicating a possible attempt by Taliban-linked media to deflect attention from breaches.
