It was a coordinated double SVBIED attack struck a Frontier Corps (FC) convoy in the Dasht area near Kanchti Cross along the CPEC highway. The convoy, comprising six buses traveling from Gwadar to Turbat, was hit when one explosive-laden Zamyad vehicle and another explosive-rigged bus detonated in succession.
In the aftermath of the blasts, militants launched an ambush on the convoy. A Quick Reaction Force (QRF) swiftly intervened, engaging the attackers in a firefight. At least four militants were killed, their bodies recovered by security forces, while an unknown number of wounded militants fled on motorcycles.
The attack claimed the lives of two FC soldiers and left 25 others injured, 12 of whom remain in critical condition.
