The jirga was attended by elders from across the Salarzai tribe. A unanimous decision was made that no individual will be allowed to disrupt peace in Salarzai, and the tribe will defend its land under all circumstances.

Joint Statement of the Salarzai National Grand Jirga:

1. Anyone found facilitating militant groups in Salarzai will face severe consequences: their house will be demolished, they will be expelled from the area, a fine of PKR 5 million will be imposed, and their family will be regarded as an enemy of the entire tribe.

2. Night-time movement throughout Salarzai will be strictly restricted.

3. Any operations by the government or its institutions in Salarzai must be conducted during daylight hours; no activities are permitted at night.

4. If any issue arises in any area of Salarzai, the entire tribe will mobilize to address it.

5. Local Guard posts will be established across all areas of Salarzai to ensure security.

6. A committee, led by Supreme Court judges, will be formed to investigate all security operations conducted between 2002 and 2025.

7. All individuals arrested in Salarzai to date must be presented before the tribe.

Additionally, a proposal has been put forward to install CCTV cameras at strategic locations throughout Salarzai to enhance security and monitoring.

It appears to be a highly coordinated attack.

The attack occurred around 11:25 at the Frontier Constabulary (Tribal Police) post, while militants had set up multiple ambushes along the route. While en route to the post in the Torawari area, SHO of Doaba Police Station, Imranuddin, encountered at least three separate ambushes. Fortunately, Imranuddin emerged unhurt from the attacks.

The Khorasan Diary reported that a jirga comprising 15 members, including three prominent Afghan dignitaries, was convened with Pakistani officials in Balochistan province. Afghan authorities, supported by a local jirga, requested the repatriation of bodies of Afghan nationals killed in operations on Pakistani soil, particularly those who lost their lives in Samabaza, Zhob district of Balochistan.

Three Pakistani sources who attended the jirga confirmed to The Khorasan Diary that 53 bodies were handed over from Afghanistan. “The jirga was held in Hisar Kalay [village],” a source with direct knowledge stated. Examination of the list of returned bodies indicates that most originated from districts in eastern and southern Afghanistan.

Punjab Police carried out a search operation on Sunday in Jadday Wali, the last village of Punjab located along the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa border.

During the operation, police recovered explosives, including an improvised explosive device (IED). Officials said the material was secured and handed over to the bomb disposal squad.

Authorities added that search operations in the surrounding area are still underway to ensure the security of the region.

Today, sources affiliated with the army reported multiple operations targeting Baloch militants across Balochistan, including Kech, Mastung, Tamp, Panjgur, Turbat, and Mach. The authorities claim that a total of 66 militants were killed, though these figures remain unverified, and the full outcome of the operations is yet to be confirmed.

These operations coincide with the 19th anniversary of the death of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, a key figure in Baloch history, on August 26. Last year, on the 18th anniversary, the BLA carried out a series of attacks, dubbed “Haruf,” targeting police stations, railway tracks, highways, and army camps, which resulted in 73 deaths, including 38 civilians, 14 Pakistani soldiers, and 21 militants.

Given the potential threat of similar coordinated attacks this year, security forces appear to have launched preemptive operations in multiple locations to mitigate the risk.

-🇵🇰/🏳️/🏴: UPDATE

Army sources have confirmed that two strikes were conducted in the Narmi Khel and Musa Khel areas of Baka Khel, Bannu. The targets included the Hujra of former PTI minister Shah Muhammad Wazir and Guraai High School, which the Army claims were being used as compounds by Sadiqullah Gurbaz’s group and TTP militants.

Meanwhile, TTP commander Ariana acknowledged the strikes but stated that none of his men were harmed and that they remain safe.

It is worth noting that the Army has recently intensified operations against Sadiqullah Gurbaz’s group, Jabhat Ansar al-Mahdi Khorasan, responsible for several high-profile attacks on security forces, including the recent FC line attack in Bannu. Recently, a senior military commander of the group, Umar Mansoor, who led Al Badr’s “suicide brigade”, was killed in Baka Khel.

Last night, an exchange of bodies took place between security forces and TTP militants. The militants handed over the remains of seven Frontier Corps personnel who had been martyred three days ago in Lower Dir district and had been in their possession since then. In return, the forces handed over 12 bodies of militants: nine who were killed recently during an infiltration in Mohmand, including the body of Commander Wazir, and two from Bajaur who were killed two days ago.

Additionally, another body was handed over from Bajaur, that of a commander named Faridullah, who was actually killed on April 27. He was the son of TTP founding member Faqir Muhammad and the current deputy chief of Bajaur district—a handover that had been specifically requested by the militants.

Dera Ismail Khan has been placed on high alert following intelligence reports of a terrorist threat.

According to sources, a group of six to seven militants from the Dotani tribe, dispatched by Taliban-linked commanders Tariq and Naqeebullah, recently crossed from South Waziristan into D.I. Khan via Kalachi and Park Road.

An additional 20 Dotani millitants are reportedly positioned in the Kalachi area, with plans to join the incoming group in Paharpur. Together, the consolidated force is believed to be preparing coordinated attacks across the border districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab within the next 8–10 days.

Commander Abdul Hammad, alias Zakir, is also said to have joined the network and may now be leading the operation. Reported areas of militant presence include Paharpur and Kiri Khaisor (D.I. Khan), RPP Kundal (Riverine Police Post, Mianwali), parts of Gujarāt, the Chashma police checkpost in Mianwali, and stretches of the CPEC corridor near Chashma—each identified as a potential target.

The Harakat Inqilab Islami Pakistan (HIIP), a faction aligned with the Ittehad-ul-Mujahideen Pakistan (IMP), announced via its media arm Inqilabi Islamia Media that a militant group from Orakzai Agency, identified as the Saad bin Abi Waqas Group, has formally sworn allegiance to HIIP.

This constitutes the faction’s second publicized oath of allegiance since its inception on March 17, 2025. Previously, on August 8, 2025, HIIP—through IMP’s propaganda outlet Sada-e-Ghawat-ul-Hind—disclosed that the Khalid bin Waleed Group from Wana, South Waziristan, had likewise pledged loyalty to the organization.

In recent days, Waziristan has seen a sharp rise in targeted killings and abductions of civilians.

The latest incident took place in the Khumrang area of Lower South Waziristan, where the beheaded body of 21-year-old Kamran Khan was recovered. According to local sources, Kamran had been abducted by unidentified gunmen a day earlier. His body was later found in nearby forests, riddled with bullets and decapitated.

During the same week in Lower Waziristan (Wana), three other kidnappings were reported, involving a contractor, a businessman, and a 12-year-old boy.

Today, in Wana Bazaar, armed men abducted another youth, Suleman Khan, son of Niamatullah, from a street and took him to an undisclosed location.

Just days earlier, in the Shewa area of North Waziristan, a mentally challenged man, Muhammadullah Mehsud, who had been suffering from illness for nearly two decades, was brutally killed after being accused of spying. He had reportedly escaped from Khwaja Younas Hospital in Peshawar, but due to negligence, his family was not informed in time, leaving him exposed to grave danger.
