The TTP’s Jamaat‑ul‑Ahrar media wing, Ghazi Media Network, after previously denying reports of his arrest in a written statement, has now released an approximately 13‑minute video featuring its senior commander Sarbakaf Mohmand. In the footage, he is seen in a mountainous region with fellow militants delivering a speech. According to Mohmand, the video was filmed on 6 January in Mohmand Agency.

In the video, he denies reports of his death and recent claims of his arrest in Afghanistan by the Taliban. He also addresses his own militants as well as Afghan fighters, while stating that β€œPakistan should not blame Afghanistan and Iran.”

Additionally, he touches upon internal disagreements within the group and conveys other points.

The video’s style closely resembles the recent release by TTP chief Noor Wali, which, according to him, was purportedly filmed in Khyber District but was later confirmed to have been recorded near Nuristan National Park in Kunar, Afghanistan.
