The deceased militants were later buried in Haiderkhel village. He was appointed Head of so-called Dawat and Guidance for the Bannu chapter for two consecutive terms (2025 and 2026) and was recently assigned the same position for the Dera Ismail Khan chapter as well.
Nusratullah Wazir was well known within militant circles for planning and executing operations in coordination with allied militant factions.
Security forces had placed a bounty of PKR 2.5 million on his head, and he was wanted in 28 high-profile terrorism-related cases.
