ISPR PRESS RELEASE:

On 19 December 2025, in a heinous and cowardly terrorist act, Khwarij belonging to Indian proxy Fitna al Khwarij attacked security forces camp, in general area Boya, North Waziristan District.

Khwarij attempted to breach the perimeter security, however, their nefarious designs were swiftly foiled by the vigilant and resolute response by own troops. In their desperation, the attackers rammed an explosive laden vehicle on outer perimeter wall, resulting in its collapse and considerable damage to adjacent civilian infrastructure including a mosque. Besides damaging their homes this blatant act of barbarism by khwarij inflicted severe injuries to fifteen local civilians including innocent children and women.

Displaying unwavering courage and professional excellence, own troops engaged the intruders with precision, resultantly all four khwarij belonging to Indian proxy, Fitna al Khwarij were sent to hell.

However, during the intense fire exchanges, four brave sons of soil Havildar Muhammad Waqas (age: 42 years, resident of District Kotli), Naik Khanwaiz (age: 38 years, resident of District Mansehra), Sepoy Sufyan Haider (age: 25 years, resident of District Vehari) and Sepoy Riffat (age: 32 years, resident of District Leyyah) having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced Shahadat.

This hideous act of terrorism, planned and orchestrated by Afghanistan based Khwarij is in contrast to assertions made by Afghan Taliban Regime, claiming non presence of these terrorist groups operating from their soil.

Pakistan expects from Afghan Taliban Regime to fulfil its obligations and deny use of its soil by Khwarij against Pakistan as the safety and security of people of Pakistan comes first and foremost. Pak reserves the right to hunt these khwarij down and eliminate their facilitators and affiliates to ensure safety of own people.

According to local sources, a jirga held between the Khyber district administration and a 24-member representative committee from Tirah Valley has concluded successfully, resulting in a consensus on the planned evacuation of the area. A formal agreement outlining the terms of displacement has been signed by both sides.

According to sources, the organized evacuation of residents from Tirah Valley will commence on January 10, with the complete clearance of the area expected by January 25. Sources further indicate that following the conclusion of the military operation, the phased return of displaced families will begin after April 5.
Under the terms of the agreement, households whose homes are completely destroyed during the operation will receive PKR 3 million in compensation, while those suffering partial damage will be entitled to PKR 1 million. Additionally, each affected family will be provided PKR 250,000 in immediate cash assistance, disbursed through JazzCash or Easypaisa after biometric verification, along with a monthly subsistence allowance of PKR 50,000.

Authorities have also assured the provision of transport facilities, medical assistance along evacuation routes, and food supplies for displaced families. Biometric verification will be conducted at designated centers in Bagh Markaz and Pandi Chena. Families that relocate prior to January 10 will be formally surveyed and incorporated into the relief framework.

Official sources stated that all measures are being implemented with a strong emphasis on transparency, efficiency, and the welfare of affected residents, ensuring that both the displacement and rehabilitation processes are carried out in an orderly and effective manner.

This week, IS' an-NabaΚΎ magazine published a profile of Hafidh Saeed Ahmad al-Baloushi.
According to the profile, Saeed Ahmad Balochi was born in Kali Dina, Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, Pakistan, into a conservative family. Following his religious education, he initially joined Tehrik‑e‑Taliban Pakistan (TTP), remaining affiliated with the group for over two years before leaving. Around 2015–2016, he reportedly pledged allegiance to the Islamic State (IS), joining alongside other militants, including Mutiullah. He subsequently became an operative for IS in Pakistan, with a primary focus on Quetta.

The account states that Saeed was appointed as a military commander for IS operations in Quetta by Sheikh Mufti Hidayatullah, a senior operational ISKP commander (former LeJ). In this role, he was responsible for planning and executing militants operations, overseeing operational coordination, and managing field activities.

According to the report, he was involved in the assassination of Advocate Bilal Anwar Kasi, the president of the Balochistan Bar Association. Following the funeral of Kasi, during a gathering of lawyers and legal professionals, Hafidh Saeed reportedly orchestrated a suicide attack carried out by an operative named Muhammad Ali, who detonated an explosive vest at a hospital in 2016, resulting in over 70 fatalities, primarily lawyers, and injuring more than 100 individuals.
The profile further claims that he participated in targeted killings of security personnel, intelligence officers, and alleged informants.

The editorial concludes by stating that Hafidh Saeed was eventually apprehended by Pakistani security forces and later killed in what it describes as a β€œstaged encounter” alongside three other detainees in Kanak, Mastung, Balochistan.

The Punjab government has extended the jurisdiction of the CTD to cover all districts of Dera Ghazi Khan division, including DG Khan, Muzaffargarh, Layyah, Rajanpur, and the sensitive Koh-e-Suleman area bordering Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Punjab Police Chief Dr. Usman Anwar said the move aims to counter terrorism in areas previously considered high-risk, where local forces lacked the capability to tackle well-armed militants.

The CTD will now operate alongside the Punjab Border Military Police and Baloch Levies to target militants groups, including the Balochistan Liberation Army and Balochistan Republican Army, as well as other criminal networks.

Yesterday, a Major-ranked military officer affiliated to an intelligence agency was attacked and injured when his vehicle was intercepted by assailants while travelling from Quetta to Islamabad.
The incident occurred in Draban, Dera Ismail Khan district, KP, where the attackers had reportedly established a temporary checkpoint on the N-50 highway.

Initially, security sources stated that the incident appeared to be criminal in nature. However, today the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that the objective was the abduction of the officer, though he was wounded during the exchange.

It is noteworthy that the TTP Zarrar Gandapur group, which is active in the area, is notorious for abductions and targeted assaults. In August 2024, the same group abducted Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Ameer along with his family members, who were later released after the group’s demands were met.

Similarly, in May this year, a freshly commissioned Pakistan Army officer, Second Lieutenant Syed Saeed Ahmed, was abducted in Dera Ismail Khan while travelling from Quetta to Lahore. He remains in TTP custody after several months and is reportedly being held in the Imam area of Tank district, at a TTP Zarrar Gandapur operational markaz.
