Subsequently, intense armed clashes erupted between security forces and militants. During the crossfire, civilian homes were struck, resulting in injuries to half dozen civilians. The damaged MRAP was recovered, and the three injured personnel were evacuated for medical treatment, their condition has been reported as stable.
After sustained engagement, civilians displayed white flags and moved onto the roads, allowing the situation to normalize. While the attack has been claimed by TTP's Jaish-e-Umari faction.
