The Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Balochistan, stated that approximately 78,000 intelligence-based operations (IBOs) were carried out across the province in 2025. These operations resulted in the neutralization of 707 militants.
He further noted that during counter-terrorism operations and militant attacks, 202 security personnel and 280 civilians embraced martyrdom. According to him, all state institutions conducted these coordinated, intelligence-driven joint operations.

The DIG of the CTD, Balochistan, announced the arrest of three suspects, Zain Mirza, Aamir Shah, and Rehmatullah , in connection with the killing of Kharan City SHO Muhammad Qasim Baloch, who was martyred in October.
Addressing a press conference, the DIG stated that the arrests were made during a joint IBO. Video-recorded confessional statements of the suspects were presented, in which they admitted their involvement in the crime. According to the confessions, the suspects initially planned to abduct the SHO, but he was shot dead after offering resistance during the kidnapping attempt.
The DIG further revealed that the arrested militants confessed to working for Baloch separatist militant outfits and stated that they were acting on the directives of their local area commander. The suspects also disclosed that they had conducted prior reconnaissance and surveillance of the SHO before carrying out the attack.
He added that one of the arrested militants is a close relative of a militant involved in the attack on the FC Headquarters in Nokundi. The DIG claimed that militants networks operating in Balochistan receive external facilitation, including support from India, while their training and logistical structures involve Afghan nationals. Investigations, he said, have established that the planning and execution of several major attacks ,including the FC Headquarters assault , can be traced back to Afghanistan.
