According to Ammar, during these talks, a ceasefire between the TTP and Pakistani forces was reached. Although the negotiations eventually failed, the ceasefire reportedly remains in place. Since the Pakistan-Afghanistan conflict, the TTP has largely refrained from using its name, conducting small operations under different banners.
