The sexual revolution is by far one of the worst events in human history.
As Pope Francis said, we need a counter sexual revolution. Therefore, one should reject contraception, infidelity, masturbation, and similar behaviors.
We will not undo the revolution, we will overpower it and bury it in history
We will not undo the revolution, we will overpower it and bury it in history

If you arenβt Catholic you shouldnβt be claiming to be a βcrusaderβ, the real crusaders would have killed you for not being Catholic

Answer: No
πΈUnam Sanctum (1302) -
β‘οΈβFurthermore, we declare, we proclaim, we define that it is absolutely necessary for salvation that every human creature be subject to the Roman Pontiff.ββ¬ οΈ
This still holds true to this day. The reason this doesnβt contradict Vatican II is because Pope Boniface VIII never said that ONLY those who know the Catholic Church is true are subject to the Roman Pontiff. A person can be under an authority without even realizing it.
For example if a driver speed down a road, not seeing the "25 mph" sign they can still get a ticket. They are still subject to the law whether they knew it or not.
πΈCouncil of Florence (1431- 1449) -
β‘οΈβIt firmly believes, professes and preaches that all those who are outside the catholic church, not only pagans but also Jews or heretics and schismatics, cannot share in eternal life and will go into the everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels, unless they are joined to the catholic church before the end of their lives; that the unity of the ecclesiastical body is of such importance that only for those who abide in it do the church's sacraments contribute to salvation and do fasts, almsgiving and other works of piety and practices of the Christian militia produce eternal rewards; and that nobody can be saved, no matter how much he has given away in alms and even if he has shed his blood in the name of Christ, unless he has persevered in the bosom and the unity of the catholic church.ββ¬ οΈ
The word βjoinedβ here is key. The Council of Florence does not go into explicit detail on the procedural steps for how one is joined to the Catholic Church. It affirms the necessity of sacramental baptism to become members of the body and be saved, but it doesnβt say that itβs the ONLY way to be united to Christ and His Church.
Florence also doesnβt claim that only those who know the truth of Catholicism are joined to the Church. Someone can be joined to the Church without even realizing it.
Also Florence doesnβt tell us about those who, through no fault of their own, are unaware of the truth of these Catholic teachings and therefore canβt follow them.
We can tell Florence allows for nuance..just look at how it insists on baptizing a child immediately if theyβre near death:
β‘οΈβ..if there is imminent danger of death, the child should be baptized straightaway without any delay, even by a lay man or a woman in the form of the church, if there is no priest, as is contained more fully in the decree on the Armenians.ββ¬ οΈ
A child on the brink of death canβt, through no fault of their own, participate in the Churchβs sacraments, fasting, almsgiving, and so on..especially if theyβre a baby. So itβs clear Florence makes room for exceptions to the norm. And if there are exceptions to the norm, then itβs definitely possible for pagans, schismatics, and Jews who are invincibly ignorant to be saved. However Florence doesnβt answer this for us. It only addresses those who are culpable.
πΈVatican II brings clarity to the teaching of extra ecclesiam nulla salus by showing us that itβs possible for non-Catholics who are invincibly ignorant to be saved:
Lumen Gentium 16 - β‘οΈβThose also can attain to salvation who through no fault of their own do not know the Gospel of Christ or His Church, yet sincerely seek God and moved by grace strive by their deeds to do His will as it is known to them through the dictates of conscience. Nor does Divine Providence deny the helps necessary for salvation to those who, without blame on their part, have not yet arrived at an explicit knowledge of God and with His grace strive to live a good life.ββ¬ οΈ
Once you recognize what Florence and Unam Sanctam leave out or donβt directly address, youβll see that neither one actually contradicts Vatican II.
πΈThe possibility of Non-Catholics being saved is not a Vatican 2 invention. This is a pre-Vatican 2 teaching:
Pope Pius XII (1943) -
