World Consumer Rights Day 2022: प्रत्येक वर्ष 15 मार्च को उपभोक्ताओं के अधिकारों और उनकी आवश्यकताओं के बारे में जागरूकता फैलाने के लिए विश्व उपभोक्ता अधिकार दिवस 2021 मनाया जाता है. 15 मार्च, 1962 को राष्ट्रपति जॉन एफ कैनेडी द्वारा अमेरिकी कांग्रेस को एक विशेष संदेश भेजा गया था और इसलिए यह दिन उनसे प्रेरित था. संदेश में उन्होंने उपभोक्ता अधिकारों के मुद्दे को औपचारिक रूप से संबोधित किया. ऐसा करने वाले, वह पहले नेता थे. विश्व उपभोक्ता अधिकार दिवस के पीछे का इतिहास यह है कि पहला उपभोक्ता आंदोलन 1983 में देखा गया था और तब से प्रत्येक वर्ष महत्वपूर्ण मुद्दों और अभियानों पर कार्रवाई करने के लिए यह दिन मनाया जाता है.
▶विश्व उपभोक्ता अधिकार दिवस का महत्व
भारत में, राष्ट्रीय उपभोक्ता अधिकार दिवस 24 दिसंबर को मनाया जाता है. क्योंकि भारत के राष्ट्रपति ने उसी दिन ऐतिहासिक उपभोक्ता संरक्षण अधिनियम, 1949 के अधिनियम को स्वीकारा था. हालांकि विश्व उपभोक्ता अधिकार दिवस आज के दिन यानी कि 15 मार्च को ही मनाया जाता है.
