This scheme is really close to my heart.
In my 2020 IAS Interview, BB Vyas Sir was asking me questions based on my graduation. He suddenly became aggressive and said, "Engineers like you waste government's money by turning up for UPSC after studying at such prestigious colleges. Don't you think you have wasted your seat?"
I was definitely taken aback by his question because Vyas Sir was generally considered one of the most jolly members of the UPSC at that time. But I gathered some courage and asked, "Sir, do you see that plant beside you?" (He turned his head, and the other board members also started looking at the plant.)
"Sir, if that same plant were in a farmer's field and suffering from some pest or disease, with just a basic smartphone, an 8-megapixel camera, and an AI-based model, we could identify the cause of infestation and recommend probable pesticide doses to the farmer within 45 seconds. So, I don't think I have wasted my seat."
Everybody was smiling after listening this.
