Progress update on protocol upgrades: the Testnet1 blockchain has been upgraded from protocol version 19 to version 22, marking the first step towards enabling new layers of functionality and control on the blockchain. Work is underway to upgrade Testnet1 to version 23, followed by upgrades to the Testnet2 and Mainnet blockchains from version 19 to 23.
Upcoming protocol upgrades will phase in through consecutive versions and may potentially require planned outages of the blockchain services. Specific outages, if any, will be announced in advance. Read the previous announcement on the upgrades to learn more: https://minepi.com/blog/pi-linux-node/#protocol

A new Fast Track KYC feature, built using more AI in the KYC flow, now allows new Pioneers to activate a Mainnet wallet even before completing 30 mining sessions. This means earlier access to Pi apps and the ecosystem—without waiting for standard KYC process or full Mainnet migration. Note that the Fast Track KYC feature currently does not enable Mainnet migration. If eligible, you'll see the option in the Pi Wallet app. Read the full blog for details.

Decentralized exchange (DEX) and automated market maker (AMM) functionalities are available on the Testnet, allowing developers and Pioneers to experiment directly with token swaps, liquidity pools, and other decentralized finance tools. Developers can also now create test tokens on the Pi Testnet blockchain, while such functionality is restricted on Mainnet during the testing period. These releases in a testing environment allow developers to extend Pi Network’s capabilities in a utility-focused and Web3 way, and it onramps Pioneers safely and gradually.
