Security Alert – Possible OS-Level Breach

A community member has reported their PEPEPOW wallet being stolen for the third time. This suggests the issue may not lie with the wallet software itself, but rather with a deeper breach – such as an infected or compromised operating system.

🔐 Please be aware:
Even if your QT wallet has a password, if your wallet.dat file is stolen, your funds are at serious risk. The file is your wallet.

🔎 We strongly recommend:
Scanning your system for malware and keyloggers.
Avoid storing wallets on compromised or untrusted machines.

Backing up sensitive data in encrypted and offline storage.

Considering a clean OS reinstall if you suspect a breach.

⚠️ This is not just about crypto. If your system is compromised, other personal files and data are also at risk. Stay vigilant and take necessary precautions.

📢 Community Collateral Poll is Live!

Following on from some discussions in our community we are now holding a poll⁠.

Please vote for the model of Collateral levels you think we should have for Masternodes moving forwards.

Should we decide to not retain the existing model, a hardfork will be necessary to implement the new model.

NB - the split of the block rewards between miners and MNs is NOT currently up for discussion, we've already done this, and it will remain the same.

The options that talk about tiered collateral levels mean (e.g)
10M, 50M, 100M available as collateral levels, with the higher collateral levels getting rewarded more frequently. So for instance if you pick the middle poll option a 50M MN will get the block reward 5 times as often as a 10M MN.

To keep things clear and simple, only a few well-supported options will be presented.

Meanwhile, development has already started! Testnet upgrades will soon begin to reflect the tiered model. A mainnet hardfork will follow once everything is tested and finalized. 💻⚙️

We’re moving forward with tiered Masternode staking, where rewards scale with collateral size.

🚧 Testnet Launched:
With Foztor's hard work, the new version of the testnet has been released! 🚀
The new testnet is live to trial multi-level Masternodes. We’re calling for experienced volunteers to help with testing—especially those comfortable with Linux and masternode setups. Your support is crucial to ensure a smooth mainnet rollout!

⚙️ Current Progress:
The code enabling multi-stake levels is live on GitHub and under active testing. Everything’s looking solid so far.

🚀 Mainnet Upgrade Coming Soon:

Mining on ARM takes a big step forward today!

I have made some significant performance improvements with NEON/SIMD.
For the moment I'm not publishing the source, but optimised variants are available at:

Yes, this means you can now mine PEPEW on your Android phones through Termux or similar 🙂

Expect further optimizations to this in the near future, I'm now going to take a look at what I can do on X64.

This release includes a 1.5% DevFee in the miner.

Strictly speaking this release is OPTIONAL, however if you are a MasterNode operator then you MUST apply this release.
Operators of other nodes or wallets may chose to upgrade or not.

This release fixes a bug in the tiered masternode implementation that was causing 100M MasterNodes to get rewarded too frequently compared to other tiers.

Read the release notes for an easy way to upgrade your masternodes on Linux.

Once the majority of masternodes have upgraded, the new reward rules will automatically take effect.

* ⚖️ A court-supervised restructuring is unlikely.
* 💔 Please be prepared for the possible permanent loss of any PEPEPOW held there.
* 👀 We will monitor for any chance of withdrawal re-opening (though it remains slim).

• Freezing/Intercepting Xeggex wallets?
– Raises decentralization concerns. Requires DAO debate.
• Burning hacked funds if theft is proven.
• DAO vote to decide next steps as new evidence emerges.

We’re about to launch the community vote on how to handle the 15 B PEPEW locked in Xeggex. Please review the options below carefully before casting your vote.

1. Legal-Only Route
• No protocol changes. Pool funds for legal action, file claims against the liquidator, and help users recover.,

2. Immediate Burn
• No forced hard fork.
• Code for burning Xeggex UTXOs is pre-loaded behind a Spork flag.
• Will only take effect if:≥ 70 % of nodes upgrade to the new version, and,A DAO vote (this poll) approves activation of the Spork.,,

3. Freeze → Burn After 60 Days
• Also Spork-controlled, not an instant hard fork.
• On activation: freezes all known Xeggex addresses.
• If withdrawals haven’t reopened within 60 days, the same Spork will trigger an automatic burn.,

4. Do Nothing / Abstain
• No collective action; individual users handle their own remedies.,

Why We Recommend Spork over Hard Fork
Hard Fork Risk: Missing broad consensus can create two chains, splitting our ecosystem and dividing resources.,

🚀PEPEPOW Exclusive Hybrid GPU/CPU Miner (Linux)– Alpha Release!

After much development by Foztor and enthusiastic developers, the first hybrid GPU/CPU miner specifically for PEPEPOW is now in public alpha testing! All miners are welcome to test and share your performance results!

【Key Notes & Testing Guidelines】
1. NVIDIA GPUs only (CUDA required) and Linux only (HiveOS should work)
2. No GPU monitoring or overclocking features included yet—please use external tools (e.g. nvidia-smi, Afterburner) to watch your GPU temps and clocks!
3. The miner defaults to GPU0. Use --list-gpus to check GPU IDs or --gpu-id X to select another card.
4. The GPU currently only handles part of the workload. At present, the hybrid mode is about 10–20% faster than pure CPU mining (example: Xeon 40 threads + 3070M gives about 2KH/s more than CPU alone), but performance will improve as the pipeline is optimized!
5. Stability on risers is not guaranteed—using a direct x16 slot is recommended for testing.
6. Both CPU and GPU modes support multithreading. Default is all logical cores; use -t N to set the number of threads.
