An independent operator has been running one at 198.244.169.49:3333 since early September. We checked it again today: it speaks the right algorithm, serves an 80-byte PCoin header rather than someone else's, and the job it handed us was building on our chain at our current tip. It is real.
We are naming it because the biggest weakness in PCoin right now is that our own pool holds about 80% of the network's hashrate. A pool nobody at PCoin controls is the only real answer to that, and this one arrived without us asking for it.
Be clear about what we are and are not saying. We do not run it, we have no relationship with whoever does, and we have not verified that it pays its miners — we can only see that it builds valid PCoin blocks. Solo mining is still the option that requires trusting nobody at all.
If you send hashrate there, start small and check you get paid.

Node update v1.4.34 — a second DNS seed
A fresh PCoin node finds the network by asking a DNS seed. Until now every node took the slow path: Core asks for x9.seed.pc.am, that name never existed, and the node fell back to one slow address fetch. It worked, so nobody noticed.
v1.4.34 adds dnsseed.pc.am: a crawler-backed seed on two separate machines that answers with nodes it has itself handshaked with, ours or anyone's. A fresh node now gets 22 addresses on its first query instead of one.
No consensus change. Older nodes keep working; upgrading is recommended, not required. Wallet and data untouched.
Windows miner, same update: a pool picker (pool.pc.am / pool2.pc.am), real recovery after sleep, fast mode no longer lost to a one-off start failure.
