Persian Cultural Center, Association of Iranian American Professionals, and House of Iran invite the community to a candlelight vigil in solidarity with the people of Iran.

خوانش و گفت‌وگو درباره داستان ضحاک

مجله «موزائیک» با همکاری اپلیکیشن تی‌‌لینک Tealink ارائه می‌دهد.

تلاشی برای افزایش تاب‌آوری با بهره‌گیری از ادبیات کهن پارسی 

در شرایط دشوار کنونی، ایرانیان بیش از پیش به بازگشت به ریشه‌های فرهنگی خود نیاز دارند. ادبیات، به‌ویژه در دوره‌های فشار و فرسایش روانی، به ابزاری برای تاب‌آوری، گفت‌وگو و همبستگی جمعی تبدیل می‌شود. بر همین اساس و در پاسخ به نیاز مخاطبان «مجله موزائیک»، پروژه «شبکه هم‌خوان» شکل گرفته است؛ شبکه‌ای برای پیوند فارسی‌زبانان از طریق ادبیات کهن و معاصر و ایجاد فضایی پایدار برای گفت‌وگو میان ایرانیان داخل و خارج از کشور.

نخستین نشست آنلاین این مجموعه، یکشنبه ۸ فوریه، ساعت ۹ صبح به وقت غرب امریکا به خوانش و گفت‌وگو درباره داستان ضحاک در شاهنامه اختصاص دارد.

PCC’s Statement of Solidarity with the People of Iran

In these dark and painful days for Iran, as thousands of lives have been violently and unjustly lost amid ongoing state violence and repression, the Persian Cultural Center stands in profound sorrow and unwavering solidarity with the people of Iran and the Iranian diaspora. The magnitude of this tragedy is immeasurable, and its grief reverberates deeply across our community.

As a nonprofit, non-political, and non-religious organization operating under federal 501(c)(3) regulations, the Persian Cultural Center is legally prohibited from participating in political advocacy or partisan activities. Our role is not to engage in political action, but to remain steadfast in our cultural mission, especially during moments of crisis. Rooted in arts and culture, we believe our responsibility is not only to mourn, but also to safeguard and honor the very cultural heritage that has long sustained the Iranian people. When identity and culture endure hardship, preserving artistic expression becomes more than programming; it becomes continuity, it becomes witness, it becomes quiet resilience.

During this painful time, we have carefully reviewed our upcoming programs. We made the decision to cancel events that were celebratory in nature, while continuing and reshaping programs that are appropriate for this moment; programs grounded in reflection, artistic expression, and collective presence. We are also actively developing additional offerings that speak directly to these difficult days and provide space for our community to gather with care and intention.

Art has long helped individuals and communities process sorrow, reflect, and remain connected in times of upheaval. Music, poetry, and artistic gatherings offer space for remembrance, healing, and collective empathy. These programs are not celebrations or distractions, but moments of reflection where mourning and cultural expression coexist with dignity. For thousands of years, Iranian culture has endured through its poetry, music, language, and artistic traditions, even in the darkest chapters of history. In that enduring spirit, we remain committed to preserving, presenting, and protecting Iranian arts and culture with sensitivity, integrity, and care.

With deep sorrow, we announce the cancellation of our Annual Nowruz Gala.  
To honor our traditions with dignity, the Persian Cultural Center will instead host a simple open house on Friday, March 27, at 7:00 PM at IAC. We invite the community to join us for a traditional DID o BAZDID gathering dedicated to reflection, remembrance, and solidarity.  We remain committed to preserving and protecting Iranian arts and culture.

Chaharshanbeh Soori is one of the most cherished traditions in Persian culture and a meaningful part of our shared heritage. We respectfully acknowledge its significance and the spirit it represents.

Over the past several weeks, the difficult situation affecting people in Iran has weighed heavily on many in our community. With this in mind, we (PCC, AIAP & HOI) have decided not to hold a Chaharshanbe Soori celebration this year.

At the same time, our Sizdah Bedar gathering will take place as planned on April 5th from 12 PM to 6 PM at NTC Park. This occasion will provide an opportunity for our community to come together, spend time in nature, and support one another during a challenging time.

As a cultural and community organization, we remain committed to bringing people together and strengthening the sense of connection within our community.
