PAC Protocol has been abandoned by its original operators for a long time – but the idea is not dead. DeFCoN (DFCN) is the community‑driven successor project that picks up PAC’s original vision, massively improves it, and gives PAC holders a new path forward.
DeFCoN is built and run by former PAC community members who refused to accept that PAC would simply disappear. Our goal is to continue and evolve the vision, and to give all PAC holders a fair opportunity to turn their currently worthless PAC coins into something that can grow again.
Important: DeFCoN is an independent project and is NOT connected to PAC Global.

🚀 DeFCoN Core v22.1.3 Release
A new DeFCoN Core version (v22.1.3) is now available on GitHub. Upgrading is recommended for all masternode operators to benefit from the latest stability and performance improvements, but it is NOT a mandatory protocol upgrade.

For an easy and streamlined masternode upgrade, you can use the community Masternode Update Helper:

After updating, please ensure your node or masternode is fully synced and operating normally. Thank you for supporting a stable and secure DeFCoN network! 💚

This is a mandatory network upgrade for all participants. Wallets, masternodes and other services must upgrade before block 113,117.
Why upgrade:
• Deterministic recovery from the July 2026 chain split
• Stronger chain validation and safer node behavior
• Improved ChainLock signing and BLS security
• Hardened bootstrap seed infrastructure
• Dedicated Multisig GUI
• Final release mode with no pre-release warning
Important operator notes:
• Back up wallet.dat before upgrading
• Install v22.1.4 before block 113,117
• Nodes on the selected chain continue normally
• Nodes on the obsolete chain must reindex after upgrading
• Never delete wallet.dat during recovery
If you run DeFCoN infrastructure, upgrade immediately and stay aligned with the selected chain.
