US-based non-profit Kashmir Care Foundation (KCF), headquartered in Atlanta, had signed MoUs with four Kashmir institutions: University of Kashmir, IUST Awantipora, SKUAST-K, and SKIMS Soura, for academic collaboration in STEM and related fields.
These MoUs have now been cancelled on instructions of the Union Territory administration after intelligence agencies flagged the NGO’s activities. Authorities say the agreements were signed without proper security clearance and allege links of some members with overseas networks pushing a separatist agenda.
IUST invoked force majeure to exit the deal, while KU cited institutional interest. A probe has been ordered to examine how these MoUs were approved without due verification.

📍 He says he spent a huge sum, around 2 lakh Nepali rupees, to reach Nepal via Dubai.
📍He blames the Indian govt for border restrictions, saying that otherwise he would have travelled through the Wagah border into India to reach Nepal.
📍 He earns around 15,000 to 17,000 Nepali rupees per month, roughly 28,000 to 32,000 PKR. (1 Nepali rupee = 2.18 PKR)
📍He says that because of the stronger Nepali rupee, he is able to provide basic food and support to his family back home.
