Dear OOA family, I recently requested prayers for my mother Eunice, due to dementia. Today he doctor has ordered that she go into the nursing home for at least 90 days😢
This has come as a complete and utter shock to our family. We had planned for me to go back to Iowa and stay with her if things became too much for my sister or if my mother could no longer stay by herself. The doctor says she needs to be in the nursing home right now with full supervision that a family member just could not give her. Mom seems to be taking things in stride as she is saying that God showed her nearly a year ago that this might come.
Please pray for my mother, Eunice, that God will continue to keep a protective hand upon her and that He will have His will and His way in all of this.
I also must ask that you pray for me, my beloved family. I am completely devastated and broken over this😭. I think many have been at that place in life where we feel like we just can't handle one more thing and then we get hit with something that feels like a mental and emotional Mac truck? Well I think that would pretty much describe how I'm feeling now. Please pray that God would just draw me so very near to Him right now. I need Him more than ever at this time.
