For your reference JKSSB, the positive balance coming on debit side of profit & loss account is possible only when credit side is more. When credit side is greater than debit side only then Net profit is shown on debit side as balance .Thus, net profit is the only correct option as per the question. I am supporting my answer with the pics taken from two reliable books namely Tamil Nadu board text book & Accounting for Management by Dr V.R. palanivelu. I expect positive response from jkssb.
