About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to own our backend infrastructure and keep it fast, reliable, and secure. You’ll maintain and extend a production Python stack powering high-volume Telegram bots and web services, and you’ll work hands-on with modern AI features.

> Note: This is not an entry-level role. We’re specifically seeking candidates with proven, production-scale experience.

Tech stack:

What you’ll do:
- Maintain and evolve our Python/FastAPI services and internal APIs.
- Build and operate asynchronous job pipelines (Dramatiq) for image/video and AI tasks.
- Optimize MongoDB schemas, indexing, and performance; implement robust caching with Redis.
- Ensure real-time updates via WebSockets and reliable background processing.
- Own Docker packaging and CI/CD pipelines for safe, frequent deployments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and harden production systems for stability, security, and cost.
- Collaborate with product/design to ship features that help learners and teachers.


What we’re looking for:
- 2+ years building production backends in Python (FastAPI preferred).
- Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB, Redis, Docker, CI/CD, WebSockets, and task queues (Dramatiq/Celery/RQ).
- Solid debugging skills with logs/metrics/tracing; you can resolve incidents end-to-end.
- Good English; genuine interest in AI and EdTech.
- Able to work on-site in Tashkent.
