Anyone who has been issued CIF gear knows how retarded things cost that civilian side can be gotten for cheap as fuck. Example is a gas mask will run up like $800 if you loose it but you can walk into a surplus store or websites that sell gear and grab it for $300.

To take something away from Thomas Sowell, that exchange goes both ways. There's a few items whether if MS2000 strobes or Level IV ceramic plates that either hold or exceed their contract price on the civilian market.
