Dollar Getting Stronger – Now at 172.59 Birr (For Freelancers 😍 )

The exchange rate for 1 US dollar is now 172.59 birr, up from around 170 just recently. It’s getting closer to 200 birr, only about 27 birr away.


💱 What’s Happening?
On platforms like Binance, people are:
- Selling dollars for 172–173 birr
- Buying lots of dollars at 168–171 birr
- More people want to buy dollars than sell, so the price keeps going up.


🏦 Why Is This Happening?

- The government sells dollars at a lower price (around 133 birr), but not enough people can get them.
- There are rules that make it harder to move money in and out of the country.
- Many businesses and individuals need dollars, but there aren't enough to go around.

📈 What’s Next?
- If this trend continues, we could reach 200 birr per dollar sometime in early 2026
