CPS Energy is facing another supply chain shortage. This time it’s the poles that carry power lines to homes and businesses.

As with the continuing shortage of the transformers it needs to bring power into homes, the lack of poles already is slowing the pace of real estate development in San Antonio.

And the supply could soon be even tighter.

The wait time to get standard wooden poles used to be from one to two weeks, Stanton said. Now, it’s from 12 to 14. Poles also must be treated to make them fit to stand for years in the power grid, so it’s not an immediate turnaround even after the timber is cut and the pole is shaped.

🤯 What a nightmare!

A homeowner stopped by to check on his suburban Atlanta property — only to be arrested for trespassing.

Days after the departure of a previous tenant, Tim Arko pulled into the driveway of his house in desirable Decatur, where he suddenly encountered a stranger waving a gun in his face.

“I didn’t walk in on a family eating dinner. I walked in on weapons, a prostitute, a bunch of dogs in the back, my fence broken down,” he told a reporter.

Six months later, they are still living in Arko’s home.

Two people have died in the residence from overdoses during that time.
