The artifact was discovered during the excavations of Babylon in 1879 and came into the British Museum.

The cylinder became famous after the last Shah of Iran in the 1960s proclaimed the text inscribed on it as the first ever declaration of human rights: Cyrus spoke in favor of the abolition of slavery and religious freedom.

The Shah pledged to build his policy in accordance with the precepts of the founder of Persian statehood.

South African group launches class action lawsuit against government over Covid vaccines

In September 2022, TrialSite News reported on the first public meeting of SA VAERS, the South African Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System, an independent and alternative reporting system. The group's goal is to "give victims a voice, increase data transparency, and improve accountability and opportunities for compensation.

VAERS has since changed its name to VAECA (Vaccine Adverse Effects Class Action), and a class action lawsuit has been filed against the South African government.

VAECA is taking action because, in its view, South African authorities made a "reckless decision to administer experimental, dangerous and ineffective" Covid-19 vaccines to children ages 5-11 in early 2023.
According to Shabnam Palesa Mohamed, the group is working to prepare a case that will test the court's willingness to protect children and adults from a controversial, unnecessary and overpriced drug that "claims to be safe and effective are demonstrably false.

The case relies on clinical reports from physicians, health care workers, reports submitted to SA VAERS, international systems and "expert research."
