*The Date Project is back with its first tin design*

This stunning tin features a hand-painted portrayal of the Dome of the Rock, glowing beneath its radiant golden dome.

Delicate blue tile work, Qur'anic inscriptions and soft watercolour gradients capture both the spiritual and architectural beauty of one of Islam's holiest landmarks.

Painted as an expression of love and solidarity with the people of Palestine, the artwork reflects hope, steadfastness and faith amidst hardship — a reminder that from sacred ground springs resilience and light.

Through each tin sold, clean and safe water is provided to families in Gaza, transforming art into real impact.

Maaida Noor is a British artist and calligrapher known for her contemporary interpretations of traditional Islamic art. For The Date Project 2026, she created this painting of the Dome of the Rock as her first piece after becoming a mother - a deeply personal tribute to faith, love, and the enduring spirit of Palestine.

There are moments in the night
when people are alone — yet closest to Allah.

Moments when the world is silent,
hearts are open, and prayers are answered.

This tin is inspired by Tahajjud — the prayer of the still hours, when duʿā is whispered in solitude, and mercy descends without measure.

Beneath a crescent-lit sky, the design reflects the intimacy of Qiyām al-Layl —
a sacred time when burdens are lifted
and the believer stands before their Lord with nothing but sincerity.

Encircling the design are Ta’if roses — among the most fragrant in the world —
chosen to symbolise the unseen beauty of night worship: quiet, pure, and deeply felt, even when hidden from view.

Dates for Bangladesh is dedicated to those moments of closeness —
when worship becomes refuge
and prayer becomes hope.

Through each tin sold, families in need are fed, transforming solitary prayers into shared sustenance, and devotion into dignity.

“Faith is Yemeni, and wisdom (Ḥikmah) is Yemeni.”
— Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ

This tin is named Hikmah — Wisdom — in honour of the faith, patience, and quiet strength of the Yemeni people, praised by the Prophet ﷺ himself.

In Islam, wisdom is not loud or abstract.
It is mercy in action. It is knowing what truly matters and responding with compassion.
The design reflects this meaning — light, balance, and sacred geometry — echoing a faith that endures hardship with dignity
and meets suffering with trust in Allah.

Dates for Yemen turns prophetic praise into lived mercy.

Through each tin sold, milk is provided for a baby for an entire month —
nourishing life at its most fragile stage.

This is ḥikmah in practice:
honouring people known for their faith,
protecting the most vulnerable,
and transforming belief into sustenance.

It is showing up for those the world has left vulnerable.
The design draws from rich heritage patterns and warmth — reflecting a love that is steady, enveloping, and enduring. A love that does not look away.
