A Heartbreaking 💔 Reality

On the 4th day of deployment to Afghanistan, the one nation UK team distributed iftar meals and food parcels. During the distribution, our team came across a child with grandmother who were in need to food. Our team spent some time with them to understand their position.

The girl was a orphan who had lost her father due to a cancer in the brain. Whilst suffering with cancer, her father was unable to pay the fees for medical care. In an attempt to save his life, he sold his daughter at the age of 2 for marriage purposes before she could read or write for 80,000 Afghanis (approximately £700).

5 years have now passed and this girl is 7 years old. At the age of 16 she will leave her family to marry.

Please make dua for all the brothers and sisters who are suffering around the world.
