حقیقتش فوتبال رو بیشتر از موسیقی دنبال می‌کنم. وقتی بچه بودم می‌خواستم فوتبالیست بشم که البته همه‌مون میخواستیم. ولی من از خودم می‌ترسیدم.از اون تیپ پسرایی بودم که وقتی توپ جلو پام می‌دیدی، می‌گفتی "عه، قشنگ با توپ کار می‌کنه." ولی وقتی می‌رفتم توی بازی و یکی سمتم می‌اومد، سریع جا می‌زدم. یعنی دقیقاً برعکس این دوتا (بقیه مهمون‌ها) بودم. پس نه، قرار نبود فوتبالیست بشم. خدا رو شکر شغل الانم رو دارم

Yeah, absolutely. No, I watch more football than I listen to music. There's um Yeah, I always wanted to be a footballer when I was a kid. We all did, but I was afraid of me own. So, I was I was one of those lads that kind of he looked like he it when you see me with a ball at me, oh, he has a nice touch or whatever like that. ⚟ یادم میاد توی رختکن بودیم. لویی، لویی تاملینسون توی رختکن تیم انگلستان بود و من توی رختکن دیگه. یه نفر در زد، کِنی شپرد بود. گفت: پِله توی اتاق کناریه و می‌خواد تو و لویی رو ببینه. ما رو بردن به اون اتاق و اون (پله) داشت با نوه‌اش توی برزیل تماس تصویری میگرفت. آهنگ‌هایی که خودش ضبط کرده بود رو برای کارش پخش می‌کرد. من فقط گفتم، این واقعا دیوونه‌کنندس

⚞ I remember we were in the dressing room. Louis was, Louis Tomlinson's in the England dressing room. I'm in the other dressing room and a knock on the door from, uh, from Kenny Shepard. And he comes out and he goes, 'Pele's in the room next door and he wants to meet you and Louis'. We get brought into this, this room and he's showing, he has his on phone calls with his granddaughter back in, in Brazil. He's playing the songs that he's recorded himself for work or whatever. I was like, this is absolutely bonkers.

آهنگ موردعلاقم احتمالا Night Changes هست. نمیدونستم ولی اون در واقع موفق‌ترین آهنگ ماست. فکر میکنین آهنگای دیگه ما معروف‌تر هستن ولی در واقع این یکی بیشتر از بقیه موفق بوده.

Probably 'Night Changes'... I didn't realise but it's actually our most successful song, you think of us for other songs but it's the biggest selling of all time

اجرای زنده تو تلویزیون وحشتناکه.
فقط سه دقیقه وقت داری تا بهترین ورژن آهنگی رو بخونی که همه هم اونو شنیدن. واقعا وحشتناکه، اون لحظه حس میکنم حالم بده.

گمونم بد نمیشد اگه توی بیتلز بودم، نه؟ ولی بند موردعلاقه‌ی من همیشه The Eagles بوده. اون اولین گروهی بود که گوش دادم و اولین کنسرتی هم که رفتم کنسرت اونا بود. پس گمونم اونارو انتخاب کنم.

I mean it would have been all right to be in the Beatles, wouldn't it? Oh yeah. Yeah. I My favorite band ever The Eagles. That was the first thing I ever listened to when I was first concert I ever went to. Um biggest album of all time. Apparently I'm about to overtake them. But I uh yeah, I love the Eagles. So probably the team I got to pick my own team as well.

زیاد اینکارو میکنم. صدام زیر دوش غیر واقعی میشه. هرچی هست از صدام در حالت عادی بهتره

میرم دوش می‌گیرم و آماده می‌شم مثل اینکه دارم یه شب عادی میرم بیرون. نه، فقط دوست دارم کل کارهای روتین روزانه و زدن مرطوب‌کننده و اینا رو انجام بدم. موهام رو مرتب می‌کنم و این چیزها. البته اینا واقعاً تاثیری روی اجرام نداره. خب، من همه این کارها رو انجام می‌دم و غیر از اون، نه. فقط میرم روی استیج.

— هیچ‌کدوممون دیوونه‌بازی درنمی‌آوردیم، ولی خب واقعاً حواسمون به همدیگه بود. شکی نیست که بعضیا از بقیه شیطون‌تر بودن، ولی خب طبیعیه. در کل، تیم خوبی داشتیم. احساس می‌کردیم توی حباب خودمونیم. تا وقتی بند از هم پاشید، واقعاً نمی‌دونستیم چقدر بزرگ شدیم. با اینکه روی صحنه می‌ایستادیم و جمعیتو می‌دیدیم، باز هم حسمون این بود که فقط توی دنیای کوچیک خودمونیم. تازه بعد از تموم شدنش، وقتی به عقب نگاه کردیم، فهمیدیم چی بود. مثل وقتی داری فینال بازی‌ها رو دوباره نگاه می‌کنی.

ما ادامه دادیم و کارمون گرفت. واقعاً دیوونه‌کننده بود، چون معمولاً یه موزیسین مسیرش آروم پیش میره، کم‌کم اوج میگیره. ولی ما اولین بار که ظاهر شدیم، توی یه برنامه‌ی تلویزیونی ملی جلوی 10 میلیون نفر بود! از همون‌جا یهو همه‌چی شروع شد، از اجرا تو سالن‌های معمولی رسیدیم به ورزشگاه‌ها.
