Famous Iranian actress Taraneh Alidoosti announces she will no longer act in films under compulsory hijab.
In a recent documentary interview, she declared:
A vocal supporter of the Women, Life, Freedom movement, she has faced detention for publicly opposing Iran’s enforced dress code. She stated that Iranian cinema “as it was before” is over, and she refuses to continue acting under compulsory hijab conditions, despite her long and successful career.
