FREE GRACE THEOLOGY IS THE BIBLICAL TRUTH — PART IV
Free Grace — A saved person is 100% eternally secure, but is able to later reject Jesus Christ and stop believing in him.
King Solomon fell away at the end of his life due to his many wives and concubines from different nations and customs.
1 But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites;
2 Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love.
3 And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.
4 For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.
5 For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.
6 And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.
7 Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon.
8 And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods.
9 And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice,
10 And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded.
—1 Kings 11:1-10
You may have heard certain critics of Free Grace say that Solomon did not fully apostatize, but rather did so partly. They bring attention to this verse...
And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.
—1 Kings 11:6
...and they argue that because it says "went not fully" that it means that Solomon still believed in the one true God while he was sacrificing to and going after false gods. This argument is incorrect for a few reasons...
Firstly, ask yourself this: Would you say that a person must partly believe the gospel to be saved, or fully? Fully, of course. A person must trust only in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ in order to be saved. This makes it clear that Solomon did in fact go astray by a margin that would be considered apostacy.
Secondly, notice again verse 6...
And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.
—1 Kings 11:6
This verse is speaking about David who died prior, which implies that it is referring to his life as a whole rather than one particular instance. So to be consistent across the text I believe that it is most logical to conclude that "went not fully" in verse 6 is referring to Solomon's life as a whole, not the exact thing he's doing at this moment in the text. Indeed it would be strange to assume that Solomon still trusted in the coming Redeemer while he was sacrificing to and going after false gods who are in fact devils. Solomon joined other religions!
So what can we conclude here? It is entirely possible for an eternally secure person to apostatize from Christ and join another religion, despite his state as a saved person.

FREE GRACE THEOLOGY IS THE BIBLICAL TRUTH — PART VI
Free Grace — A saved person is 100% eternally secure, but is able to later reject Jesus Christ and stop believing in him.
The Parable of The Sower in Luke 8 proves Free Grace.
11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
—Luke 8:11-15
Right here we have 100% proof that a person can believe temporarily, and later stop believing. And what is the single most important thing that we have learned about Jesus Christ?
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
—John 6:47
Eternal life is given at the very moment of belief. So even those on the rock who temporarily believed ARE STILL SAVED despite ceasing to believe afterward.
Furthermore, notice again verse 13 of Luke 8...
They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
—Luke 8:13
Those who stopped believing did so because of temptation. Reading the parallel verses we find something interesting...
Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
—Matthew 13:21
And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.
—Mark 4:17
What was the temptation that caused them to stop believing? It was tribulation and persecution. If this tribulation/persecution directly causes people to stop believing in the gospel, then a good example of this are the gospel-denying hereticks who make videos online in attempt to bring people away from the true gospel unto another gospel. Why warn about tribulation/persecution if a saved person doesn't have the ability to fall away from the faith and join another religion? Even though a saved person will always be saved no matter what, apostacy is a real threat to a Christian's relationship with God on this earth.

FREE GRACE THEOLOGY IS THE BIBLICAL TRUTH — PART VII
Free Grace — A saved person is 100% eternally secure, but is able to later reject Jesus Christ and stop believing in him.
Adding to Part I in the series, continued reading of scripture further proves that John the Baptist ceased from the faith that saved him initially (though he never became unsaved), and we can surmise that he had enough doubt that would classify it as apostacy!
This is the message that Jesus received from John who was in prison... (AFTER his profession of faith in John 1:34)
And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?
—Matthew 11:3
...and this is what Jesus said to him...
4 Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:
5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
6 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
—Matthew 11:4-6
Jesus' response to this implies that John the Baptist was offended in him. Have we heard this word somewhere else in the text? Yes we have!
Notice in the parable of the sower how the second seed (which sprouted from the rock) is described...
Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
—Matthew 13:21
...and notice what this word "offended" is synonymously paired with...
They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
—Luke 8:13
For a short time John the Baptist was in fact the seed that sprouted on the rock which withered away in time of temptation. "For a while believe" means that A SAVED PERSON CAN LOSE SAVING FAITH despite being eternally secure.
