In 1 John 5:13, NKJV promotes works salvation heresy of continuing to believe in order to be saved [a human work]

These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

NKJV ❌

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue  to believe in the name of the Son of God.

By changing "believe" KJB to "continue to believe" NKJV:

💥 Unbiblically implies you need to do works/effort of continuing to believe to be saved/have eternal life

💥 Distorts/attacks to believe once on the risen Lord Jesus is enough to be saved, & goes against Acts 16:31, John 3:15, John 3:16 & Romans 10:11, which all say believe to be saved / have eternal life

To be saved, you believe (KJB), not continue to believe (NKJV).

Discard NKJV; get KJB

Because salvation is an event, not a process, not an endurance. The moment you, as you said, "accept" Jesus as your Saviour, you are given the GIFT of salvation. You neither earned it, nor even deserve it, but it is GIVEN to you, never to be taken back, by the grace of God through faith in the gospel alone.

Perserverance Salvationists would claim that for you to be a male after having been born a male, you'd HAVE to keep believing that you are one

And if you stop believing that, you were never a male, but a female
