U.S. Navy sent destroyer to Taiwan Straights amid growing tensions with China
The U.S. dispatched a delegation of five former senior officials for a two-day trip to Taiwan on March 1 days after a U.S. Navy destroyer transmitted the straights. In response to their arrival in Taipei, Chinese FM Wang said, "It is futile for the U.S. to send anyone to show so-called support for Taiwan."
Wang stated that the Chinese people's determination and will to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity are firm. He emphasized that China urges the U.S. to abide by the "one China" principle and Three Communiqués and halt any form of official exchanges with Taiwan. He added that the U.S. should handle Taiwan-related issues "prudently, so as not to cause further serious damage to the overall situation with China-U.S. relations and the peace and stability of the Taiwan Strait."

U.S. weighing possible sanctions against India over Russian military stockpiles (The Hill)
Russia has been the largest arms supplier to India since the early 1970s. Today, 60% of India’s military hardware inventory is from Russia or the former Soviet Union and the bulk of India’s license-based defense manufacturing comes from Russia.

Last week, Condoleezza Rice went on Fox News and said in response to the Russian ‘special military operation’ in Ukraine that invasions of sovereign countries are a “war crime” and go against "every principle of international law.” Rice, ironically, was one of the architects of the US invasion of Iraq in 2003, serving as National Security Advisor and Secretary of State under George W. Bush.
David Petraeus, another blast from the past, also gave some remarks regarding the situation in Ukraine, saying that Putin has “crossed the line to become a war criminal.” Petraeus is a former CIA Director and Head of US Central Command. As Commander in Iraq, he was credited for the “surge” between 2007 and 2010 that greatly increased US troops deployments.
The Costs of War project estimates that between 480,000- 507,000 people died in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan in America’s “Global War on Terrorism” from 2001 to 2018. The civilian death toll in Iraq is estimated at 182,272- 204,575.

Who is and isn’t sanctioning Russia over Ukraine?
Western media outlets are claiming that Moscow has been isolated by the international community over its actions in Ukraine.
The reality, however, is that sanctions against Russia remain a mostly Western endeavor, with little support from the rest of the world.
