Once there were three turtles. One day they decided to go on a picnic. When they got there, they realized they had forgotten the soda.

The youngest turtle said he would go home and get it if they wouldn't eat the sandwiches until he got back.

A week went by, then a month, finally a year, when the two turtles said, "Oh, come on, lets eat the sandwiches."

Suddenly the little turtle popped up from behind a rock and said, "If you do, I wont go!"

The Right Answer ✅

In a small town, there was a Math teacher. She taught a 7 year-old kid named David. One day, she asked him “If I give you one apple and one apple and one more apple, how many apples will you have?” Within a few seconds David answered confidently, “Four!”.

“Maybe this child did not listen properly”, she thought. She repeated, “David, listen carefully okey. It is a very simple question. If I give you one apple and one apple and one more apple, how many apples will you have? "

David calculated on his fingers again while he was searching for the answer that will make the teacher happy. This time he reply hesitated: “Four…..”

The teacher remembered David loves Strawberries. She thought maybe he doesn’t like apples so that make him lose focus.

This time with exaggerated excitement and twinkling eyes she asked, “If I give you one strawberry and one strawberry and one more strawberry, then how many will you have?"

Young David calculated on his fingers over again. With a hesitating smile young David enquired, “Three"? The teacher now had victorious smile. But one last thing remained.

Once again she asked him, “Now if I give you one apple and one apple and one more apple, how many will you have?" Promptly David answered, “Four!" The teacher was aghast. ”How David, How?” she demanded in a little stern and irritated voice.

In a low voice he replied, “Because I already have one apple in my bag”...

😤Its vs. It’s
These two cause many of us to cry. As we know, it’s is the contraction of it is and its is the possessive form of it. Tempted to throw in a sneaky apostrophe? First, check if you could replace the word with his or hers. If you can, then its is for you!

🤯A lot vs. Allot
What a difference a space makes. A lot describes quantity and as an added bonus, it can be used with both countable nouns (like people, chairs, or cups of coffee) and uncountable nouns (such as water, rice, money, or hair). Think: I have a lot of time. He’s got a lot of books. How much do we have? A lot. Allot, on the other hand, is a regular verb and means to distribute. As in: I allotted everyone 30 minutes to speak. All the students were allotted a study area. (And to up the ante: He allotted everyone a lot of time.)

😖Piece vs. Peace
Now, another thing that you can allot – and people are always grateful to receive – is dessert, which brings us to our next tricky word pair. Thankfully, this is easy as pie: Next time you’re debating piece or peace, remember to think of apiece of pie (that will bring world peace).

😫Advice vs. Advise
Advice – with an s-sound – is a suggestion for a course of action (My friend gave me some really great advice). Advise – with a z-sound – means suggest what to do, or give advice (He advised me to exercise first thing in the morning). Whew! But how’re we supposed to know which is which? Never forget again by remembering that advice is a noun, just like ice, whereas advise is a verb, just like is.

🤬Lose vs. Loose
Did your team lose or loose the final? When you dropped 10kg, were your pants lose or loose? Does it even matter? Well, yes – that innocent looking o makes a world o’ difference. Imagine that both words started out the same, but at some point, lose lost an o. (Maybe because there was a moose on the loose?)

🥛🧀🧈Dairy Foods Vocabulary

🐮People have been raising animals like horses, donkeys, camels, goats, sheep and cows for thousands of years. They were raised for meat and skins as well as for milk¹. If female animals were producing milk to feed their young, people could also drink it if they milked² the animals.

The milk spoiled if it wasn't drunk within a day or two, so people found ways to turn it into foods that lasted longer, and these foods became what we now call dairy foods.

🥛🧈🧁Milk, Cream and Butter

Most of the milk we drink these days is cow's milk. Like all milk, if cow's milk is left to stand it separates into a low-fat drink called skimmed milk and a top layer of thick, high-fat cream.

🧁Cream is used both in cooking and as a topping on desserts, but if it's stirred very quickly or "whipped" it gets even thicker and can be used in cakes and pastries as well. Cream can also be thickened by adding chemicals, and this type of cream is called double cream, heavy cream or whipping cream. If cream is whipped for a long time, it gradually turns into butter.

🧈Butter is used in cooking and also as a spread, but many people now use a butter-like substance made from vegetable oils or animal fats called margarine instead.

📚 STORY TIME 📖

BELL THE CAT

There was a grocery shop in a town. Plenty of mice lived in that grocery shop. Food was in plenty for them. They ate everything and spoiled all the bags. They also wasted the bread, biscuits and fruits of the shop. 

The grocer got really worried. So, he thought "I should buy a cat and let it stay at the grocery. Only then I can save my things." 

He bought a big fat cat and let him stay there. The cat had a nice time hunting the mice and killing them. The mice could not move freely now. They were afraid that anytime the cat would eat them up. 

The mice wanted to do something. They held a meeting and all of them tweeted "We must get rid of the cat. Can someone give a suggestion"? 

All the mice sat and brooded. A smart looking mouse stood up and said, "The cat moves softly. That is the problem. If we can tie a bell around her neck, then things will be fine. We can know the movements of the cat". 

“Yes, that is answer," stated all the mice. An old mouse slowly stood up and asked, "Who would tie the bell?" After some moments there was no one there to answer this question.
