🔺U.S. FDA authorizes Novavax COVID vaccine for adults

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration authorized the use of Novavax Inc's (NVAX.O) COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday, clearing the way for a shot whose more traditional technology has raised hopes of wider acceptance among vaccine skeptics.

It is the fourth COVID vaccine to be authorized for use in adults in the United States.

The clearance comes more than a month after a panel of FDA advisers overwhelmingly recommended its authorization.

Ivana Trump, the first wife to former U.S. President Donald Trump and the mother of his three eldest children, unexpectedly died Thursday at her New York City apartment, officials say. She was 73 years old.

The incident was first reported at about 12:30 p.m. on Thursday when emergency services were called for a cardiac arrest at an apartment on East 64 Street in Manhattan, where Ivana lived. Paramedics arrived on the scene and she was later pronounced dead.
