As promised in our roadmap, we are pleased to announce that the lition codebase is now open-source! We invite you to go through our code on Gitlab, and re-use our codebase for purposes that will help bring blockchain to everyday usage.

We will also continue to add code to existing and new repositories going forward. Read more about it here.

💻 LPS 2.0 is coming

Dear Community,

Since our decision to shift the mainnet to beta status, we have set about to ensuring that we improved the experience that our community had when using the mainnet for setting up validators and staking in the LPS. To that effect, we have made significant progress in many regards. The mainnet is now back to a very stable state after all the fixes were applied, and we expect to continue to test it so that we are back to full production mode soon.

One major feedback we received was the difficulty in using the LPS for staking and fixing it was a major objective in the last few weeks. Our developers have put in a lot of work which have yielded fruits. We are therefore pleased to announce that we now have an improved version of the Lition Pool Staking. LPS 2.0 fixes all the issues of LPS 1.0. The new and upgraded version of LPS brings easier staking, faster distribution of rewards and a more seamless experience. The interface has been redesigned and it is now seamless and simpler to interact with whether you are staking $LIT tokens or withdrawing your tokens. With LPS 2.0, batching of rewards will also stop and stakers will be able to receive their rewards faster and more regularly.

We expect to launch LPS 2.0 by the end of this month and look forward to sharing other significant updates with you by then. We thank you for your support.
CEO Richard Lohwasser recently had the opportunity to represent Lition at the FAZ Step Awards 2019 in Frankfurt, Germany.

The STEP Awards were first established in 2006 to honor innovative and fast-growing companies from Germany, Austria and Switzerland in the categories of artificial intelligence, energy transition, health industry, material science and mobility.
It has been a memorable year for Lition AG. We've made significant strides towards ensuring the long-term sustainability and success of the project. Of course, we also saw our fair share of adversity along the way. The Lition community has been amazing through it all. Your support and contributions have been crucial to our growth. As the new year approaches, we wanted to share a progress report on some of the developing aspects of the Lition ecosystem.

On behalf of the Lition team, we would like to wish a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!
⚙️ Transition from LPS 1.0 to LPS 2.0

Following previously announced changes to the Lition Pool Staking, we are pleased to announced that LPS 1.0 is now officially closed. You will no longer be able to stake your $LIT tokens as the interface has been disabled. All staked tokens and the earned rewards have now been withdrawn automatically from the staking contract and distributed to the original wallets that was used to send the stake. There is no need to do anything on your part except check your wallet for your tokens and rewards.

We are now in the final stages of launching the new LPS 2.0 and expect it being live by tomorrow. LPS 2.0 promises to introduce a better staking experience for the community with new features. More details about LPS 2.0 will be provided in a future blog article.
Happy New Year to all from the Lition team. We would like to thank everyone for their support throughout 2019. Wishing you peace, love, health, and happiness in 2020.
📌 Lition Pool Staking 2.0 is live now

As shortly teased yesterday, we are happy to announce that our newest version of Lition Pool Staking is live now. You can access the new page via this URL and start staking LIT without the need to have the necessary hardware or technical knowledge to run a Lition node. Simply delegate your LIT tokens to LPS and we take care of the complicated stuff while you receive your entitled staking rewards comfortably.

Important: in this new version participants will only be able to add a staking balance within the first three weeks of each month. This is due to the necessary synchronization required between the Lition Pool and the Lition Registry. Also, all your pending rewards earned in a staking month will only be available for withdrawal on the last day of the month. For this reason, lockup periods are no longer counted exactly but rather approximately to the next window of reward distribution.

You can find full documentation on what new features have been added and which bug fixes were concluded within this article. We hope the page to be as much self-explanatory as possible but in case of questions, this article might be helpful.

P.S.: should you experience trouble with the new webpage, please clear your browser cache.

Happy staking everybody!

Update: Integration of Gas as a Product into the Energy Use Case

As mentioned in our 2020 roadmap, our energy use case has been working hard towards integrating gas as a product.

We're pleased to announce that Lition Energy is now an officially licensed gas provider.

Germany’s natural gas market is the biggest in terms of consumption within Europe. It accounts for approximately 23.7 percent of Germany’s primary energy use last year, making it the country’s second most important energy source.

The infrastructure is being finalized to begin onboarding and serving gas customers by the end of Q1 2020. This new development will eventually lead to a significant increase in the volume of transactions that the Energy sidechain processes.
