“It should go without saying that meaningful conferral is not a perfunctory exercise,” Judge Cannon wrote, adding that this was especially true when the issue at hand — curbing the speech of a former president running again for office — had been raised “for the first time in this proceeding.”

In her order, Judge Cannon included a new and unusual requirement for any future motions. She told the defense and prosecution that each filing would have to include a brief, verbatim statement from their adversary on how the process of conferral had gone.

Norway will halt the entry of Russian citizens traveling for tourism and other “non-essential” purposes from May 29, regardless of the issuing country of their Schengen visa, the government in Oslo announced.

Exceptions may include Russian citizens traveling to visit close relatives or for work and study in Norway or the Schengen Area.

Trump Media Group CEO Devin Nunes on Tuesday sent a letter to Louisiana state officials, requesting an investigation into an "apparent manipulation" of the group's stock, and whether it violated the state's securities law

The letter comes after Nunes requested an investigation into the stock in Florida, and sought an investigation from House finance and oversight leaders on the same matter last month. Nunes raised the concerns after Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) began trading on the Nasdaq stock market in late March under the ticker "DJT." The company's flagship product is social networking site Truth Social.
