Absolutely. We need to become self sufficient again. People have become too depend on others and government for far too long. We are trying to get out to "the wild countryside" with in 3 yrs. Lol.
Have 10 acres We just inherited, but my dad has it in a crop rotation program, so we can't develop it into a homestead for couple yrs yet. So we are "practicing" on edge of city.😉

If you get a barrel or bucket, add some nettles, borage, comfry all cut up, cover with rain water and piss, leave for a few weeks, you have some good stuff right there

The pictures are from a heated cold frame I built. You can get the cable a thermostat from elixer garden supplies. The temperature in the frame hasn't dropped below 14°c at night even with - 2°c temperatures. I do put some insulation on the glass over night when it's cold. It's good for starting tomatos, peppers, chillies, anything really.
