Ireland should be for the benefit of the ethnic Irish people, it's our only homeland and belongs to us. That doesn't exclude people with one Irish parent, if you have Irish blood you belong here, as well as sensible numbers of genuine immigrants that have chosen to make Ireland their home, contribute to our economy, culture and communities.

There is a new awakening upon us, the light has begun to shine on the incredible corruption and rot we have allowed to take hold in our nation and I believe it's days are numbered. Chaotic times are ahead but we will be victorious.

Stocks in red after UBS-Credit Suisse deal

Markets are jittery despite UBS' acquisition of Credit Suisse, backed by a CHF9 billion guarantee from the Swiss government to cover potential losses from specific business lines.

Credit Suisse has opened down by over 60% and UBS is down by more than 10%. Deutsche Bank, Commerzbank and BNP Paribas are also trading sharply lower. Banks on the FTSE 100, such as StanChart, Barclays and NatWest, are languishing at the bottom of the UK index.

Bank bonds in particular are sliding after Swiss authorities decided to wipe out Credit Suisse's riskier bonds as part of the rescue package. AT1 bondholders suffered hefty losses as a result, with some investors retreating from them altogether.

The price action in gold and even Bitcoin suggests people are still anxious, expecting a possible transition from a banking crisis to a full-blown economic one.
