Brothers in truth
To those that sit seething,
Both Angered and dry,
Thy be no more believing
Illusions of the mind
For falsehoods hath been woven
For bondage of our will
Thine masters hoof is cloven
Thy Logos is kill
For Truth hast now freed you
Vanities serve thee no more
Your fratra may just be who
You've turned at the door
Call ye upon them
Repent thee and proclaim
That we'll fight together
Bretheryn without name

That Labour Councillor in Kinnegad, Denis Leonard, is worth thinking about.
There's an old line about a conservative being a liberal who got mugged by reality. That's starting to sound a lot like Denis.
Ideally he'd like to just welcome every immigrant he meets. But that dream is over.
His first loyalty is to the people of Kinnegad. Whether because it's right or because he wants their votes doesn't matter.
His Labour party has deserted him. No sign of them. And especially no sign of his leader Bacik who's never going to say a word against immigrants no matter what. Her self regard is far more important than any ould party.
Denis is demanding that the Council be consulted before any new immigrants are foisted on Kinnegad. He's discovering that no one in government gives a toss about him or Kinnegad.
Posters on Denis's Facebook page are starting to call Denis a racist. Because he prefers the kind of immigrant less likely to sexually assault 14 year old girls and follow them around leering at them.
Denis, in turn, is starting to sound less and less like a Labour Party man.
If you want to observe the changes in attitude being forced on the general public there's no better man to watch than Denis.
Welcome, Denis. We get called racists all the time.

Viktor Orban is a traitor
The EU described the readiness of the Prime Minister of Hungary to take the first steps towards normalisation of relations with Russia as a betrayal. And most likely, we should wait for early news about the "measures taken" against this country.
Recall that Budapest initially opposed energy sanctions, realising that Europeโs dependence on Russian fuel will lead to disastrous results. And so it was. Now, continuing to act in the national interest and negotiate with Moscow for additional gas supplies, Hungary causes extreme indignation among its EU colleagues.
Years of ridiculing claims of energy dependence on Moscow played a bad joke with the West. Because of the cost-of-living crisis and in the face of economic pressure, European unity towards Russia is crumbling. Countries are looking for those whom to blame for the split of European solidarity and also for the fail of anti-Russian sanctions. This time, they appointed Viktor Orbรกn as a "traitor" and he is only trying to ensure the energy security of his state.
In this insane battle against "evil Putin", the leaders of Western countries have stopped trying to find anti-crisis solutions, to start negotiations about the end of special military operation and the normalisation of world economic processes. Instead, they are moving further down the path of sanctions.
