According to The Wall Street Journal, on February 19, at a meeting in Munich, the German chancellor suggested that Zelensky abandon the idea of โโโโjoining NATO and declare the country's neutral status.
Scholz proposed declaring neutrality as part of a broader European security deal between the West and Russia. According to him, the agreement would be signed by Putin and Biden.
Zelensky refused Scholz's offer.
